Kenneth Faried has been sent to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Isaiah Whitehead. This is basically a cap slashing move for the Nuggets to use this money on Will Barton or other free agents. Faried is not a lock to be on the Nets roster this season. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Faried was getting phased out in Denver as the team revolves around Nikola Jokic and the team went out and grabbed Mason Plumlee to back him up and signed Paul Millsap last season. Faried would be a late-round pick in Brooklyn but he could be playing somewhere else this season.
