The Wizards are signing the diminutive PG on a one-year prove-it deal as a response to losing Tomas Satoransky to the Chicago Bulls. Thomas will likely get some spot starts alongside Bradley Beal and hold down the fort until the injured John Wall returns. However, temper expectations for him, as he may never achieve the 28.9 PPG that he scored in that magical 2016-2017 season with Boston. Regardless, he should get plenty of opportunities to show that he can still play at the highest level.
