Matt Thomas is reportedly expected to be sidelined for four weeks after sustaining a fractured finger in the Raptors' game against Atlanta on Saturday. This update provides further context behind Thomas's absence during Toronto's 101-96 victory over Philadelphia on Monday. (Blake Murphy on Twitter)
Fortunately for Thomas, the fracture occurred on his non-shooting hand so he is still able to get work in and put up some shots, according to head coach Nick Nurse. The sharpshooter has been impressive so far throughout his rookie campaign; he's earned a limited role at just over 11 minutes per game, but he's come just as advertised by converting on 53.8% of his attempts from the land beyond. Overall, the Iowa State product has supplied averages of 4.8 points, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.1 rebounds per-game on 54.1% shooting.
