Fantasy Impact
The Virginia native declared for the NBA Draft on March 29th but maintained his eligibility in the event he decided to return to college. In a surprising move, McClung will not only be removing his name from the 2020 draft pool, but will also be transferring from Georgetown - playing his junior season elsewhere. McClung reportedly met with at least 11 teams prior to his decision to withdraw from the NBA Draft and the combo guard will look to improve his draft stock with a new team later this year. McClung is considered to be a score-first guard who will need to improve his playmaking and facilitation skills in order to play point guard at an NBA level. McClung earned Big East All-Freshman team honors last season and was in the midst of a stellar sophomore campaign at Georgetown, averaging 15.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 27 games. There's no doubt that McClung will be a hot commodity on the college circuit but fantasy players will have to put him on the shelf for another season.
