Hayward is an Indiana native who played at Butler, so he certainly has a reasonable connection to the Pacers organization. Hayward is expected to pick up his $34 million player option for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Indiana could look to part ways with Victor Oladipo if they're unable to come to an agreement on a contract extension. Perhaps there's the makings of a trade here. Celtics GM Danny Ainge has always been willing to think outside the box.
