Fantasy Impact
After having one of the most productive seasons in his career with the Trail Blazers, Whitside is now in a support role that is anything but conducive to his career. This season he has averaged 12.6 minutes, 6.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game and is shooting 52.3 percent from the floor. However, there is no telling what can happen as the season moves forward; as he is just one injury away from obtaining a consistent and viable role in the rotation. As it stands, Whiteside is a speculative add at best in season-long deep-league play. Should he somehow get a more purposeful role, he could become a viable option in DFS as a flier.
