Danilo Gallinari has exercised his $6.8 million player option to remain with the Celtics for the 2023-2024 season. (ESPN)

The 34-year-old missed entire 2022-2023 season due to a torn ACL, but is making good progress towards a return. He is expected to play a sizeable role for the Celtics next season as a three-point shooter and depth in the frontcourt.
