Royce O’neale totaled 18 points (6-12 FG, 6-12 3PT), seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks in the Nets’ 115-103 win over the Raptors.

Fantasy Impact:

O’neale scored 18.0 points in the Nets’ win over the Raptors, making this his second consecutive game with more than 15.0 points, at least 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. So, what I am supposed to say is that his recent level of play is encouraging and that, given his ability to produce as a multi-categorical contributor, albeit sporadic, he should warrant some streaming consideration. But we all know how this story ends. We’ve seen this trend of production from O’neale many times, and we all know it doesn’t last, ending when you finally decide to play him only to have him implode at the most inopportune time. Or maybe that is just me? In any case, despite there being some opportunity to ride this trend and leverage his potential upside, I am going to avoid the folly of recommending his deployment so that we can prevent this from going badly. In fact, I am going to do you all a favor. I am going to recommend that you don’t roster him in any formats, just so he can continue this production streak and hopefully help you realize some returns in response to my lack of belief in his consistency and contribution. O’neale has a usage rate of 12.3 percent, a plus-minus of -1.7, and is averaging 29.9 minutes, 8.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game while shooting 38.3 percent from the floor and 40.7 percent from beyond the arc.
