Trey Murphy hits five threes in loss

by Bruno Mulé | Pelicans Correspondent | Sat, Nov 1st 9:37am EDT

Trey Murphy finished with 17 points (6-of-14 FG), five rebounds, six assists, two steals, and five three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Clippers.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a much-needed bounce-back game for Murphy, who had totaled just 14 points on 4-of-19 shooting in his previous two games combined. The most encouraging sign was his perimeter shot, as he went 5-of-10 from deep after hitting just 5-of-23 (21.7%) in his first four games of the season. As a career 38.1 percent three-point shooter, it was inevitable that Murphy would find his stroke. He will look to build on this performance when the Pelicans finish Week 2 in Oklahoma City on Sunday.
