Trey Murphy snaps three-point streak in loss

by Bruno Mulé | Pelicans Correspondent | Fri, Dec 5th 9:54am EST

A 17-game streak with at least one made three-pointer came to an end for Trey Murphy on Thursday, as he went 0-for-5 from deep in a loss to the Timberwolves. Despite the perimeter drought, he managed to lead the Pelicans with 21 points (7-17 FG, 7-8 FT) while adding eight assists, seven rebounds, and two steals.

Fantasy Impact:

The wing could not quite match the massive 33-point, 15-rebound performance he delivered against Minnesota earlier in the week, but he still salvaged a productive fantasy night through volume and playmaking. His season average of 2.9 triples per game took a slight hit, but his usage remains high in the New Orleans offense.
