Onyeka Okongwu flirts with triple-double in Monday's loss to Thunder

by Chris Schommer | Hawks Correspondent | Tue, Dec 30th 8:35am EST

Onyeka Okongwu flirted with a triple-double for the Hawks Monday night, grabbing 14 rebounds, dishing out six assists, and scoring 26 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3PT, 7-8 FT) while also recording one steal in a 140-129 loss to the Thunder.

Fantasy Impact:

Okongwu continues a steady stretch on both ends of the floor, grabbing seven or more rebounds and chipping in 10 or more points in each of his last five games. The 25-year-old continues to offer head coach Quin Snyder one of the more stable options as part of an inconsistent Atlanta starting five, averaging 16.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while posting a usage rate of 19.9% so far this season.
