Egor Demin posts career-high nine assists Thursday

Egor Demin recorded a career-high nine assists to go along with six points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-2 FT) and five rebounds in Brooklyn's 126-110 loss to San Antonio on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Demin's previous career-high in assists was seven against the Pelicans on December 6. The 19-year-old has failed to reach double figures in scoring in three of his last four games, but he also only attempted a season-low three shots on Thursday. Demin is contributing 9.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in February but is shooting just 36.8% overall. Again, just a reminder, he's just 19 years old and has started 44 of 51 games this season. The experience he is getting now should lead to bigger and better as he gets older. If he can start getting shots to fall, Demin is on a similar trajectory to becoming a Josh Giddey-type of player.
