Nikola Jokic (wrist) plays 18 minutes Sunday

by David Leisering | Nuggets Correspondent | Mon, Apr 13th 10:30am EDT

Nikola Jokic (wrist) played 18 minutes on Sunday, but still scored 23 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 3PT, 8-8 FT) and grabbed eight rebounds during Denver's 128-118 win over San Antonio.

Fantasy Impact:

Jokic likely would have been held out of Sunday's game, but by suiting up, he reached the 65-game threshold for being eligible for postseason awards. Jokic still managed 23 points and eight rebounds while sitting out the second half. Jokic averaged a triple-double for the second consecutive season as he averaged 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.7 assists for the third-seeded Nuggets. He should be fully ready to go for Denver's first-round series against the Timberwolves and he should be considered a favorite to take home some postseason hardware. Jokic has finished as the league MVP, or as the runner-up for MVP honors, in each of the last five seasons.
