Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam stands to benefit from the departure of Fred VanVleet as the guard was his primary competition in touches for the Raptors. Siakam played in 71 games and averaged 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists. He protects the ball well and crashes the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Nobody will be picking Toronto to do much this season, but in fantasy circles, Siakam will be an asset as the only big fish in a small pond north of the border.

Toronto hires Darko Rajakovic as new head coach

Toronto has hired former Grizzlies assistant Darko Rajakovic as their new head coach. Rajakovic has spent time coaching in the G League, with the Thunder, Suns, and Grizzlies before landing in Toronto.

Fantasy Impact

The Raptors have ended their search for a head coach. Rajakovic will look to take Toronto back to its former glory after a disappointing 41-41 2022-23 season. He’s caught at a crossroads with the roster, where as is they don’t have the firepower to contend, yet enough good pieces they aren’t in rebuild mode. Smart trades and drafting will be keys to successfully getting the franchise back on track.
