Michael Pineda bounced back from two previous sub-par performances to earn the win against the KC Royals yesterday. He gave up just one earned run on six hits and struck out eight, while only allowing one walk. He is now 6-2 on the year.

CC Sabathia could only go 2.1 IP in a 15-4 loss to the Texas Rangers yesterday. Sabathia gave up seven hits and six earned runs. He did manage to get four strikeouts in his limited outing. Sabathia is now 2-6 on the season and has a 5.47 ERA.
