Brian McCann has been in and out of the lineup recently due to a sore foot, but he played last night and was 2-for-5 with a HR and two RBI.

Masahiro Tanaka will make his first start this afternoon in over a month, since going on the DL with a right forearm strain and right wrist tendinitis.

Brian McCann had a single last night, after replacing John Ryan Murphy at catcher. He was 1-for-2 in the ball game.

CC Sabathia pitched 5.2 IP allowing two earned runs on nine hits, while striking out six and walking two. He earned a no decision in the Yankees 5-3 win over the Seattle Mariners.

Michael Pineda bounced back from two previous sub-par performances to earn the win against the KC Royals yesterday. He gave up just one earned run on six hits and struck out eight, while only allowing one walk. He is now 6-2 on the year.

CC Sabathia could only go 2.1 IP in a 15-4 loss to the Texas Rangers yesterday. Sabathia gave up seven hits and six earned runs. He did manage to get four strikeouts in his limited outing. Sabathia is now 2-6 on the season and has a 5.47 ERA.

Nathan Eovaldi only managed to go 4.1 innings last night against the Washington Nationals, giving up seven hits, five earned runs and two walks. He did however manage to collect five strikeouts.

Brian McCann went 0-for-5 and left four on base, in an 8-6 loss to the Washington Nationals.

Brian McCann went 0-for-2 last night against the KC Royals, but he did manage to get an RBI, his 21 of the year.

Michael Pineda tied a career high by giving up 10 hits to the Royals last night and was chased out of the game in the sixth inning. Kansas City wound up winning the game 12-1. His line for the night was 5.1 IP 10 H 5 ER 1 SO 0 BB.
