Eddy Pineiro and the San Francisco 49ers have agreed on a four-year, $17 million contract. The deal includes $10 million in guaranteed money. (Source: Ian Rapoport on X)

Fantasy Impact: In his first season in the Bay Area, Pineiro finished 28-of-29 on field goal attempts and was 34-of-38 on point after tries. He tied for the league lead in field goal percentage (96.6%) and was 14th in the NFL in points with 118. Pineiro ranks second among active kickers in career field goal percentage (89.7%) as he has converted 139-of-155 field goal attempts in his six-year career. He is as steady as they come among NFL kickers and he should be a safe bet for 100+ points again next season.

Linebacker E.J. Speed is returning to the Houston Texans on a two-year deal. The contract is worth $13 million with $7.5 million guaranteed. (Source: Aaron Wilson on X)

Fantasy Impact: Speed appeared in 16 games with nine starts in his first season with Houston a year ago. He totaled 62 tackles and three tackles for a loss. It was a far cry from his last season in Indianapolis in 2024 where he ended up with 142 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, and an interception. Speed played more on special teams than he did on defense with Houston as he served as the third linebacker behind Azeez Al-Shaair and Henry To'oTo'o. Barring injuries, he is expected to stay in the same role in 2026 and will likely remain off the IDP fantasy radar.
