Vince Wilfork made his presence known on the very first play of the game. Unfortunately he was called offsides and never registered a tackle against the Kansas City Chiefs. After that, Wilfork failed to register a tackle the rest of the game.
On a day where the Houston Texans defense could not stop Alex Smith, J.J. Watt was the lone bright spot. Watt recorded the only two sacks of the day for the Texans, including one where he has helmet-less.

After dealing with an ankle injury this offseason, Akeem Dent was activated from the PUP list the same day as teammate Jadeveon Clowney. Dent started seven games at linebacker for the Houston Texans last season.

Recently cut by the Oakland Raiders in a cap-saving move, Antonio Smith could be on his way back to the Houston Texans, where he spent five seasons along their defensive line. Smith would provide additional depth on a defensive line that has already added Vince Wilfork this offseason. While not strong in run support, he can still get after the quarterback even at 33 years old.
