The Buffalo Bills have released veteran running back Fred Jackson.

Rex Ryan stated Saturday that Percy Harvin will play in the Bills' week one game against the Colts. He may even suit up sooner in one of the Bills' final two preseason games.

Vic Carucci reports that in addition to the Bills' first pre-season game, Harvin has also missed the last two days of practice

ESPN's Buffalo Bills reporter Mike Rodak reports that Fred Jackson injured his hamstring in practice and will miss two weeks. Jackson was reportedly getting a ton of reps in camp which is unusual for a veteran.

Percy Harvin has approached Rex Ryan about moonlighting as a cornerback this season. Rex has agreed to experiment with the athletic Harvin on defense in camp. This news comes a week or so after it was reported Harvin required detailed instruction on route-running at OTAs.

Bills new head coach Rex Ryan says he expects Harvin to produce on the outside instead of the slot or backfield. In his first two seasons, the Vikings gave Harvin a fairly big role in the offense. Since then he's become a jack-of-all-trades/gadget type player. Harvin seems to believe he'll flourish in a return to a traditional receiving option in Buffalo.

Terrence Brooks, a former Bills' Safety, expressed his belief that Tyrod Taylor is good enough to win the Bills starting job for 2015. Brooks faced off against Taylor in practice when they were teammates.

Mike Glennon almost led the Buccaneers to a win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Glennon went 19-of-32 for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw an interception and was sacked for safety in the end zone.

Rainey carried the ball four times for 12 yards. He added two receptions for 8 yards and a touchdown

Josh McCown went 22-for-35 for 183 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Panthers on Sunday.
