Nikolaj Ehlers assisted on Blake Wheelers second period goal to make it 2-1 for the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.

Neal Pionk picked up an assist on Mark Scheifele's third period powerplay goal to make it 5-1 for the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.

Kyle Connor assisted on Patrik Laine's goal late in the second period to make it 4-1 for the Winnipeg Jets.

Mark Scheifele scored his team leading 14th goal of the season on Tuesday when the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-1. The goal game in the third period on the powerplay.

Despite the score reading 5-1 in favor of the Winnipeg Jets, Laurent Brossoit actually made 15 saves on all 15 shots that he faced. Brossoit had to leave the game for 69 seconds of game play due to an equipment issue. Unfortunately for both Brossoit and Connor Hellebuyck who came in for that short period of time, the Red Wings were able to get one by Hellebuyck. The goal on Hellebuyck meant that Brossoit would not get credit for a shutout.

Blake Wheeler scored his 8th goal of the season over the glove of former Jet Eric Comrie. Wheeler also grabbed an assist on the Mark Scheifele powerplay goal in the third period.

Patrik Laine scored his 9th goal of the season on Tuesday night when the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-1.

Bryan Little was placed on IR this morning after a scary incident on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. Little took an errant puck to the side of the head which led to him leaving the game and getting 25-30 stitches. Little was also transported to a local hospital for neurological evaluation. It is expected that Little will be released from hospital today and will make a full recovery. At this time there is no timeline for his return to hockey related activities.

Coach Maurice has Blake Wheeler skating as the Jets second line center with Nikolaj Ehlers and Jack Roslovic on his wings. The move comes after Bryan Little was placed on IR as a result of a scary incident in Tuesday's game against the Devils.

Connor Hellebuyck made 31 saves on the 32 shots he faced in 65 minutes played on Tuesday night when the Winnipeg Jets lost to the New Jersey Devils 2-1 in a shootout.
