In a nutshell, how do you measure an analyst’s mock draft accuracy?

We judge mock draft accuracy based off of each analyst’s 1st round predictions. Specifically, our scoring system seeks to reward correctly identifying the following things in an NFL mock draft:

  1. How each player’s predicted draft position compares to their actual draft position
  2. How each player ranks among their (playing) position
  3. Which positions each team drafts in the 1st round
  4. Whether the predicted team for each player matches the team that actually drafts each player.

How many rounds do I need to predict?

While our tool supports creating mock drafts up to 7 rounds, you only need to predict the 1st round to participate in the accuracy competition. If you plan to share your mock draft with your readers we encourage you to put together a mock deeper than one round, however. This creates more content for your audience and our mock draft tool makes it dead simple to create and update mocks beyond one round.

Can I predict trades?

Yes, we do support predicted trades. You can adjust the draft board to account for potential moves by clicking the ‘edit’ icon next to each team name. This will let you select the team you expect to move into that draft slot.

When is the mock draft accuracy deadline?

Your final mock draft must submitted by Thursday, April 26th at 8pm ET. This represents the beginning of the NFL Draft. You may update your mock draft as frequently as you wish prior to that date and time.

How do I enter the accuracy competition?

If you are an approved analyst, your mock draft will be automatically entered into our accuracy competition as long as you have submitted a prediction for the 1st round of the draft.

How often do I need to update my mock draft?

For every NFL Draft fan, there’s nothing worse than seeing mock drafts that are obviously outdated (e.g. player predictions not reflecting recent trades). We’ve built an easy-to-use mock draft tool so that you can provide your readers with current predictions at all times. If there’s significant news, simply shift players and publish. We do recognize the work involved in keeping mock drafts current, so we’ll continue to create tools to help streamline your efforts.

Where can I find more information about the mock draft accuracy competition?

More details about the competition are available here.

How do I get my mock draft to show up on my site?

You can use our cut/paste Widget Code to automatically publish your mock draft on your site or blog. There are multiple formats of our widgets including an article-style layout and a table view. Both formats are mobile-friendly, support the display of player blurbs and can easily be copy/pasted onto your site. All your future revisions will be automatically reflected on the fly, which will save you a lot of time and effort. Alternatively, you can export your mock draft to Excel and publish it on your own.

Will my mock draft show up on FantasyPros?

If you are an approved analyst, your mock draft will be included in a consensus FantasyPros mock draft that pools together the predictions of multiple analysts. However, our audience will not be able to view your mock draft individually at FantasyPros.com. We will encourage our users to visit your site directly to individually see your draft predictions. In all cases, we link to your Twitter account and website to help promote you.
