Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
What Evans has done throughout his career is no small feat. In his seven seasons in the NFL, Evans has never finished with less than 1,000 receiving yards in any given year. With that being said, he's a roller coaster to have on your fantasy football roster. Last season, Evans had numerous games where he only had one to three receptions, but he was able to come down with a touchdown on several occasions to save his fantasy output. Evans brings some massive upside based on his size, skillset, and talent. However, fantasy managers need consistency from their WRs if they're being drafted at a premium price. There's a possibility that we see Evans move up into the top-12 WRs in ADP by the time draft season rolls around. He'll provide you with some of those week-winning performances, but that's too steep of a price for me to get on board with that unpredictability. My Very Early Projection: 70-973-9 receiving. While the city of Chicago is elated that Fields is now in town, there's probably no one happier than Robinson. After playing with guys like Blake Bortles and Mitchell Trubisky for his entire career, Robinson finally has the chance to put up absurd numbers with competent QB play. He's still made it work and has been a fantastic fantasy asset for many years now, but this has the chance to be special. ARob will still be a very reliable receiver with Dalton behind center this year, but he has the chance to push top-5 WR status as soon as Fields takes over. Robinson's one of my favorite early WR selections this year.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There may be no fantasy wide receiver who's continually undervalued more than Mike Evans. He's now turned in at least 1,000 yards in seven straight seasons with a handful of different quarterbacks, and has scored at least eight touchdowns in five of them. The reason he can't be considered in the elite tier is due to the number of mouths to feed in the Bucs offense. Think about it this way: Despite Chris Godwin being hurt for a while and Antonio Brown not joining the team until mid-season, Evans finished with just 109 targets. He's one of the better WR2's to have in fantasy, but he doesn't come with top-five upside unless there are injuries to those around him.Opportunity is everything, right? It's why despite Robinson's lackluster quarterback play, he's been able to finish as a top-12 receiver in back-to-back seasons. The upgrade to Andy Dalton was solid, but if the Bears play Justin Fields, it could be even better. Based on opportunity alone, Robinson should have finished as the WR4 in each of the last two seasons (that's based on how many targets he saw and where he saw them), so there's certainly room for improvement in his finish. Robinson has proven to be a WR1 with bad quarterback play in this same offense, making him one of the safer options as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Bears return = path to tons of volume. And now he'll have the best QB of his career throwing to him. Think ARob has a ceiling we haven't seen yet.
Benjamin Klotz
Touchdown Squad
Earlier in Evans' career, I'd avoid him for his week-to-week inconsistency, but ironically he is perhaps the single most consistent player you can draft in all of fantasy football. Evans has now broken his tie with Randy Moss for most 1000+ yard seasons to begin a career in NFL history with 7 (!!) seasons - this ridiculous stat represents his long-term consistency in production and health. Now of course, Evans has his drawbacks as well. Last year, Evans was *extremely* efficient in catch rate and touchdowns to the point where regression towards the mean is inevitable this year. Tampa has also managed to retain every pass-catcher from 2020, while adding Jaelon Darden (rookie), Giovani Bernard as a receiving back (free agency), and OJ Howard (back from injury) who will all consume targets along with probable usage increases for sophomore Tyler Johnson and Antonio Brown, given his elite talent. Even still, this offense very clearly uses Evans as the primary red-zone option, giving him the ability to single-handedly win you weeks. As long you understand Evans may get fewer targets, but the ones he will get are very high-quality, he is an excellent pick as a lower-end WR1 with insane weekly upside, while nonetheless possessing unprecedented year-to-year consistency - you should have supreme confidence drafting him at his current 3rd-round ADP.It's very rare to find a player of Robinson's talent level and target share going in the 4th round. Robinson has never had good quarterback play and yet has still produced as a low-end WR1 - now that he'll have Fields at some point this year, his upside is tremendous. Robinson ranked 3rd in the NFL in targets last year (between Hopkins and Adams) and there's no reason to assume his targets should decrease too much. Further, those targets are hopefully better quality than what Foles and Trubisky were able to provide. The worst-case scenario here is that Dalton/Fields aren't much of an improvement and he still produces low-end WR1 numbers like he did last year. Getting Robinson anywhere from the mid-2nd and beyond is great value and he's someone I'm targeting in all my leagues.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Mike Evans had only 70 receptions for 1,006 yards, but he dominated the red zone with 13 touchdowns. Evans is a WR2 that could be a WR1 if he duplicates his TD production again in 2021.Robinson II had 211.9 in 16 games, despite playing with Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles. Robinson is a low-end WR1 that could have some upside if Justin Fields can earn the starting job and play at a high level.
Kevin Wheeler
The Draft Zone
The Bucs' top 3 WRs were healthy together for 10 games last season. In those games Evans lead in targets (73), target share (20.1%), air yards (1004), and end-zone targets (8). Not to mention that he has had 7 straight seasons of at least 1,000 yards and 5 seasons of 8+ TDs.
Mark Ringo
Sleepers and Busts
There are a lot of mouth to feed in Tampa, but also a lot of TDs available from one of the best offenses in the league. Evans should catch a bunch of them. He's a big, physical target in the red zone. Double digit TDs are a good thing in fantasy. Yes please! It's amazing the stats Allen Robinson has put up with such lousy QBs. Last year he had 102 receptions 1,250 yards and 6 TDs. The Bears, unhappy with their offense, went back to the drawing board. First they signed QB Andy Dalton. Then they made a bold move to draft Ohio St QB Justin Fields after he slid in the draft. Fields might need time to learn the playbook. Nick Foles is still there too. They also drafted OT Teven Jenkins for a line which was in desperate need of an upgrade. Just think how good Robinson could be if the Bears actually scored a few TDs per game? Expect similar stats. The Bears offense is probably at least a year away from making a substantial leap.
Joe Pisapia
FantasyPros
Allen Robinson has played with Blake Bortles, Blaine Gabbert, Nick Foles and Mitch Trubisky. Yet, he's still found a way to stay a fantasy asset over his career. Justin Fields/Andy Dalton are upgrades for the Bears and Robinson will continue to be the WR1 of the team with plenty of target volume in '21. Robinson has back to back 150+ target seasons and should be a PPR beast again this season with 100 rec and 1,200 yards well within his grasp.
