Lineups
It's hard for me to grasp that more people aren't talking about D.J. Moore's phenomenal sophomore season. He had 87 catches for 1,175 yards and 4 touchdowns despite catching passes from a hobbled Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier. Now, Moore will benefit greatly from the introduction of Teddy Bridgewater as the new starting quarterback. The team's defense has also gotten worse since last year and will be starting several rookies, so game script should favor the passing game. Matt Rhule and Joe Brady will help scheme Moore open in creative ways and he's almost certainly due for positive touchdown regression. He's one of my favorite players for fantasy football this season, especially when you can draft him in the third or even fourth round. There always seem to be a few factors working against Amari Cooper whether it be injuries, inconsistency, drops, etc. He's undoubtedly one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL, but he just hasn't put it together as consistently as his teams want. Dak Prescott will throw to the best receiving corps of his career with Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb in tow. Cooper is going to suffer from some target inconsistency, and while he's a clear talent who would not be a surprise in the top ten, he just isn't the type of receiver I like to build around.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
The departure of Devin Funchess prior to last season made Moore the undisputed No. 1 wideout in Carolina, and he emerged as the No. 2 target in the passing game behind running back Christian McCaffrey. Because of Moore's speed and versatility, the Panthers' new coaching regime will likely continue to use him on a wide variety of route concepts. After being targeted only 31 times over Oakland's first six 2018 games before being traded to Dallas, Cooper quickly established himself as the focal point of the Cowboys' passing game. The five-year, 100 million contract he signed in March includes 60 million guaranteed and sends a clear message that Dallas views him as the primary option in the team's passing game.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It really stinks that we may not get to see Moore play with a top-tier quarterback during his early years. He's an extremely good football player who's been stuck in a bad situation. He made the most of bad targets last year, finishing as the WR18 and delivering WR2 or better performances 60.0 percent of the time, which ranked eighth among wide receivers. Now another obstacle to cross. He'll have a new quarterback and a new head coach in 2020. The coach (Matt Rhule) also decided they needed to bring in Robby Anderson, a receiver who previously played under him, which could mean the targets get spread out a bit. The good news is that Bridgewater attempted a deep ball on just 7.1 percent of his pass attempts, which was the second-lowest rate in the NFL, and not an area where Moore operates. The talent is there for Moore to make a jump into WR1 status, but the situation doesn't seem ideal with virtually no offseason. He's best suited as a WR2 on fantasy teams, as top-24 should be his absolute floor. It's somewhat maddening that Cooper can't get the 150-plus targets that some do, as he's continually one of the most efficient receivers in the league. Did you know Michael Gallup averaged more targets per game than Cooper last year? Cooper's injury may have played into that but it didn't stop him from being one of the best in the league. Based on the number of his targets and where they took place on the field, Cooper should've finished as the No. 23 wide receiver, and not the No. 9 receiver he did. In fact, he was the only receiver in the league who scored 20-plus more fantasy points than he was expected to in both the red zone and outside the red zone. The addition of CeeDee Lamb isn't going to make getting targets any easier for Cooper, who's now seen 195 targets in 25 games with the Cowboys. Because he's not getting the gaudy numbers that some are, Cooper should be considered a semi-volatile WR2 in fantasy who has more WR1 upside than most on a weekly basis. If Cooper were to get 150 targets, I have zero doubts that he'd finish as a top-three receiver, but as we've seen, that just doesn't happen.

Teddy B. is not helping me keep DJ up this high in the rankings#FantasyLocust but damn I'm almost drooling over the potential of this McCarthy/Moore called offense
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Moore brokeout last season, and should continue his ascendence into the top ten.The 1A in Dallas, he will frustrate you at times but win your week other times. Cooper is a great WR2 if you land a high-volume pass catcher in the first three rounds.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Former 1st round pick, D.J. Moore had a breakout season in 2019 and that was with Kyle Allen throwing him the ball. Now he has Teddy Bridgewater who looked terrific in New Orleans last year at QB. Moore could be the NFL's next star WR, the only concern I have is how long it will take for him and Bridgewater to build a connection due to COVID.Cooper finally put together a complete season last year in Dallas and has the chance to build on that in 2020. Even with the addition of rookie WR CeeDee Lamb, there will still be plenty of targets for Cooper to remain a WR1.

FantasyPros
Moore had 1,215 yards from scrimmage, but only 4 touchdowns in 2020. Teddy Bridgewater is the quarterback in Carolina this year, Moore should easily be their most targeted wide receiver.Cooper really did not build on his 2018 season and finished 2019 with 1,195 yards receiving and 8 receiving touchdowns. Cooper is among the most talented receivers in the league and worthy or WR2 value, but he is not consistent enough to be an elite WR1.

Moore's essentially a lock for seeing over 130 targets again in 2020. While he might not put up high TD totals in this offense, he's going to be a PPR machine this season. As long as Moore can stay healthy, he'll return value on his current ADP.Cooper's been a frustrating player to roll out in fantasy lineups over the past few seasons due to his tendency to simply disappear some weeks. This season, he now has to compete with Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb for targets, which isn't going to help alleviate those concerns from fantasy players minds. Cooper certainly has the talent to take over and single-handedly deliver you a victory any given week, but his inconsistencies are likely to extend over into this season. Cooper's a risky pick at his current ADP.

DJ Moore averaged 16.4 PPG (seventh-most among WRs) in 14 healthy games last year. As a 22-year-old with Kyle Allen at QB. One of the best prospects in recent memory with a historic start to his career. Panthers won't throw as much, but they should still be high-volume. @JackMiller02

D.J. Moore had a very impressive sophomore season, proving he's the clear Panthers WR1. He should get even better in year 3 as he's still very young and the Panthers look like they'll be regularly chasing the game. In most circumstances you'd suggest a 1000 yard receiver should expect far more than 6 TDs in his first two seasons combined, but Moore is rarely a green zone target (only three targets inside the 10 last year) so he may just be a guy who doesn't score often. The addition of Robby Anderson is also reason for concern so I'd suggest using some caution, especially in non-PPR leagues. The upside is very high if everything kicks though.Amari Cooper was the WR9 in 2019 but boy it didn't feel like it for Cooper owners. While

New QB Bridgewater won't accentuate Moore's verticals skills, but he should be heavily targeted, allowing him to put his ample Yards After Catch skills to workCan be a frustrating week-to-week rollercoaster ride but his 13.5 Half PPF FAN PPG mark in 25 regular-season games in DAL is Top 12 level production at WR

Love the Joe Brady hire as OC. LSU's WRs dominated under his tutelage and usage, and Moore can expect more creative playcalling than ever before. But will Robby A's addition be more a positive (clearing space) or negative (target competition)?

Back to back years with under performance in the TDs. Despite that, he's still finished as a flex worthy, or better option, in .5ppr.Will always be underrated because of his inconsistency IMO. Finished as WR10 on the year with only 119 targets and constantly dealing with injury. If he returns to Dallas he will continue being the alpha. Cobb might get some McCarthy love, Gallup will get some 3rd year leap love, but Cooper will always remain the clear 1 for me. Gallup still struggles with catch consistency and Cobb is a nice slot piece but nothing more, especially for fantasy. Could also be out the door.
