FantasyPros
Yes, Derrick Henry finished with 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns last year en route to a No. 3 finish. Yes, he was dominant in the playoffs. We still can't forget that he was the No. 14 running back in points per game before Week 10 last year, behind David Johnson and Mark Ingram. Should we automatically assume Henry picks up where he left off in 2019? My issue with Henry is that he's not involved in the passing-game, which lowers his weekly floor. That alone will allow us to choose someone like Alvin Kamara over him. Henry is best-suited as a second-round pick rather than one in the first round. After seeing Ekeler's contract extension this offseason, it seemed a little light for a workhorse, leading many to believe they'd draft a running back early on. They waited until the fourth round to select UCLA's Joshua Kelley, who's a bigger complementary back. The Chargers offense isn't likely going to be as high scoring as it was with Philip Rivers under center, but Ekeler remains the top dog in the backfield. Still, don't just anticipate this offense is going to be as potent, or that he'll have as many scoring opportunities, which is why he's best-suited as a high-end RB2 than an RB1.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Henry led the NFL in carries, rushing yards, and touchdowns last season, and continued to smash into the playoffs. With Ryan Tannehill back under center and continuity along the offensive line (other than the swap of Jack Conklin for Isaiah Wilson), there's every reason for Henry to have a big year. He'll never factor in heavily in the passing game so has more value in standard rather than half- or full-PPR formats. But he's a strong RB1 with little risk regardless.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
75+ rush yards in 18 of past 22 games (playoffs inc.) - led NFL in Yards Created (yards gain after 1st evaded tackle) and Yards After Contact/Attempt in 2019Averaged better than 1.0 FAN PTS/TOUCH in Half PPR formats each of his 3 seasons, and if he can maintain that with a QB change in 2020, another RB Top 10 finish likely

Pack to the Future
Henry's breakout 2019 performance caught me by surprise. He was someone I was avoiding and fast forward to this year, he's an automatic RB1. His lack of usage in the passing game still concerns me but if he's running it the way he did in 2019, it won't matter all that much. He deserves to be drafted inside the top 5.Ekeler finally gets the starting role in LA but he also loses his dump off heavy QB - Philip Rivers. Now he'll have the combination of Justin Herbert and Tyrod Taylor to get him the football. With Herbert likely to be the starter sooner rather than later, I like Ekeler's chances of finishing inside the 10 at RB.
Justin Dodds
Locked In Football
Henry is potentially the third safest pick in the first round behind CMC and Zeke due to his expected volume. With Dion Jones' departure, 54 carries and 32 targets need to go somewhere. The only options I see are for those targets to either go to rookie Darrynton Evans, depending on how he performs in training camp, or for Henry to absorb them. I expect the Titans to involve Evans, so you're looking at around 300-320 carries and 20-30 targets for Henry, which is very promising volume in Half-PPR or Standard scoring formats. In PPR, the lack of targets lower Henry's floor somewhat, however, league leading rushing attempts should makeup for the lack of targets as they did last year.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
In .5 PPR leagues last season, Austin Ekeler (14.71 PPG) actually performed better than Miles Sanders (14.36 PPG) in the second half of the season. Sanders is getting loads of love while Ekeler has been more of a forgotten stud. Ekeler did not have a game with double-digit rushes after Week 4 last season and was still an RB1. He'll get it done, no matter what.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Henry led the league in rushing yards and finished the season with 1,746 yards and 18 total touchdowns on the season. He has a new contract and Ryan Tannehill back under center, which means he should still be a RB1 in 2020.Ekeler had 1,550 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns while splitting touches with RB Melvin Gordon for 12 games. Gordon leaving for Denver should give him an increased workload, but Ekeler's quarterback situation is less than ideal and they added Joshua Kelley in the NFL Draft, which could create another RBBC.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Derrick Henry was a fantasy football superstar last year and finished the season with 16 rushing touchdowns! While that's unlikely to repeat, he still belongs in the top-tier RB conversation and is a solid pick towards the back end of the first round in your draft.Ekeler should see a drop-off in overall targets with Tyrod Taylor now at QB, but it won't be as much as some people are projecting. Ekeler's chances of repeating as the RB6 simply aren't there again this season, but he's going to be a fantastic RB2 option for your roster.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
2019 was when it finally all came together for Derrick Henry, as he parlayed 303 carries into the rushing title and a RB3 finish in half-ppr. The reaction has been unusual, with a surprising amount of fantasy owners taking a big step back with players like Josh Jacobs, Nick Chubb, Austin Ekeler, Miles Sanders, Kenyan Drake and even Clyde Edwards-Helaire regularly going ahead of Henry for no good reason. Henry remains an absolute stud, especially in non-PPR, with a clear path to another 300 touches and maybe even more receptions. The injury concern appears to be overblown, as Henry has little injury history and all running backs with high volume are a breakdown risk. Ultimately, I'm hopping on the Henry express expecting another big season in 2020.I'm very torn on Austin Ekeler in 2019 and could see myself slotting him in anywhere from RB8 to RB 14 in half-ppr before the pre-season concludes. He remains a pass-catching monster but I'm not yet convinced he'll provide enough volume in the running game to justify a first-round pick. I expect a slight reduction in the quality of this attack overall with Philip Rivers gone and I could also see Joshua Kelley or Justin Jackson chipping into his goalline and between-the-tackles work. Ultimately, this really comes down to your risk-aversion. In PPR he'll be a monster but otherwise, he's a risk you may choose to avoid. If he's sitting there in the second round though, he's going to be very hard for me to pass up on.

3 drops on 23 targets. 2019 was his worst year of passpro according to PFF. Relying on TDs and elite production, strictly from the ground, needing a great oline, requires some big truss.I'm bad at ranking outliers. Had a career high 132 carries last year, yet to go over 560 rushing yards. Makes his money in the passing game, which now unknown. Can't be more efficient than last year: 108 targets, 92 receptions. I think it would be safe(?) to pencil him in for 1000 total yards and 5 TDs. Which would put him in the RB20s range. 20 touches a game without Gordon(4 games)23.75ppg 12 touches a game with Gordon(12 games)14ppg. 6 rushes a game with Gordon The Chargers were 28th in att last year and that still leaves almost 17 rushing attempts per year Gordon also got a healthy 55 targets in his 12 games, albeit with Rivers, Melvin also paced as RB11 after his return

Underrated aspect of Henry's blistering 8-game stretch (203/1273/11 rushing): not only is it the 2nd-most rushing yards in an 8-game stretch in history, but it comes against teams a combined 24 games above .500. @AdamHarstad
