Without the injury, Hall may very well have ranked in Round 1 . For now, he's on the RB1 border til we get health updates -- Zonovan, Carter here to ensure the team doesn't rush it (which means a slow start should be expected6/3: Ty Montgomery is back and ready to be a MAJOR nuisance -- already operating as the lead third down RB. As good as Rhamondre is, his value was heavily inflated by the receiving role. This is bad news for Stevenson 5/5: While Belichick can be notoriously fickle, the Patriots have continued to churn out Top-10 Team Backfields for years on end. Rhamondre may have the ultimate workhorse role in this productive offense with no Rookie RBs added, Damien Harris removed, and only James Robinson as new competition. 3/17: James Robinson signing feels like a blessing, as that's a downgrade from Damien Harris -- unless James Robinson makes an enormous recovery. Rhamondre feels likely for the 60-65% weekly workload in an RB-centric offense. Sign me up. Could see his GL role getting eaten into which would be BRUTAL though

There is a lot to love about Breece Hall. After exploding onto the scene in his rookie season, he flashed as both an efficient pass catcher and runner. Unfortunately, his rookie season ended early after he tore his ACL in Week 7. Hall possesses all the traits to be a top-five option this year, however, I am cautious about his return from injury. It may take him a few weeks to find his groove and carry the full workload, but after that, he could be a league winner for fantasy teams.I'll be honest, I'm still terrified of New England RBs. However, Stevenson made a great case for why that fear is in the past. After averaging 67% of snaps last season, Stevenson took over this backfield. This may not be an exciting offense, but one thing we know for sure is that they are committed to running the ball. I think Stevenson is a lower ceiling, volume RB for this season.

Sleepers and Busts
Hall is returning from the dreaded torn ACL injury. Most folks need two full years after surgery to feel close to 100%. It's difficult for athletes to come back the following year after having reconstructive knee surgery. How did J.K. Dobbins and Odell Beckham do last year? Exactly. Adrian Peterson is the exception, not the rule. At a minimum, even if Hall plays week one, it's unlikely the Jets give him a full workload. They'll probably put him on a snap count. It doesn't even factor in the possibility that Breece could be put on the PUP list and miss the first six games to start the season. Just like Billy Beane with his Moneyball strategy, I like to play the percentages. Could Hall be the exception to the rule? Sure he could. I hope he (and all players) make a quick and full recovery. But the odds say to pass on players coming back from a torn ACL the following season. Do I care if I draft Breece Hall for his name value? No. I do not. I care that my players are on the field scoring TDs a lot. Now, what we might be able to do is recreate Hall's stats in the aggregate......RBs Zonovan "Bam" Knight & Israel Abanikanda. Who? Exactly. Those guys sound like Mark Ringo sleeper picks already haha! Bottom line- I can't afford Hall's current ADP at RB 12. It's too risky given the odds he's facing. Coming this summer to a fantasy football website near you. Mark Ringo stars in.....Ringoball! BustThere's always danger whenever trusting a Patriots RB to be a bell cow. If the past has taught us anything, Bill Belichick loves to use a RBBC. However, with Damien Harris leaving for Buffalo in free agency, it sure seems like Cape Cod is parting for Rhomondre Stevenson to run right through it. James Robinson was brought in, but he's on his third team in two years. It's hard to picture him returning to his prior form after the dreaded torn Achilles injury he suffered. Pierre Strong could be a factor in the passing game, however, Stevenson does that well too. He had a whopping 69 receptions last year. The biggest concern is the Patriots' anemic offense. It never got on track last year. Maybe new offensive coordinator, Bill Bradley, can get them back on track? He can't do much worse. If he can, Stevenson could be sitting on a monster year. You're gonna need a bigger boat, I mean scoreboard. Fantasy Chief Brody Ringo

The Athletic
2022 top rookie RB pick looked the part before Week 7 ACL injury - 7th in half-PPR PPG at RB - Early reports indicate he'll be ready for Week 1Always have to be concerned about banking on a Belichick back, but RB depth chart shows little reason to not build on his 2022 breakout
Andrew Erickson
FantasyPros
There's no denying that Breece Hall possesses the talent to be one of the best running backs in the NFL after a stellar rookie season that was unfortunately cut short by a torn ACL. The Jets' first-year running back was the RB6 in half-PPR points per game in just seven games played (15.4). He averaged 5.8 yards per carry as a rusher and ranked fourth in yards after contact per attempt (4.13) before his season-ending knee injury. Hall also ranked fourth in RB receiving yards while posting an elite 34.4% target rate per route run. The only hesitance with drafting Hall stems from his October ACL injury that can keep guys off the field for nine to 12 months. Although the latest reports suggest that Hall is progressing faster than expected and the team believes he could be ready for training camp. Just do whatever you can to get this guy on your fantasy team.Damien Harris has been replaced by human meat shield James Robinson on a monopoly money and heavily incentive-based contract making him no lock to make the roster. The low commitment suggests that Rhamondre Stevenson's role in 2023 will be more of what we saw from Weeks 5-16 when he was the RB13 in points per game as the Patriots' lead back. And even when Harris played alongside Stevenson, the big running back finished third in route participation (58%) and targets (82) among running backs. Recall that Stevenson's strong campaign en route to an RB10 finish was not fueled by touchdowns. Stevenson was one of the worst RBs converting from inside the 10-yard line as he scored just thrice despite 19 goal-line carries. His teammate Harris scored thrice from inside the 10, on just 6 carries. If Stevenson experiences positive TD regression with the red zone role all but his, he will build off a strong sophomore season as PFF's 11th-highest graded rusher. It's his backfield with little competition for touches in an offense that should be substantially better than last season.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
The reports on Hall is that his recovery from ACL surgery is going well and he expects to be ready for training camp. Every injury report in January seems to read this way, we won't know until we reach training camp. Hall had 463 yards rushing, 218 yards receiving, and 8 TDs in 7 games last year. If he can avoid the PUP list and see action early, he should be a high-end RB2 to low-end RB1 with tons of upside.Stevenson tallied 986 yards rushing, 393 yards receiving, and 6 TDs in the 2022 fantasy season. If he had posted double-digit TDs, he would have been an elite RB1. He still has a ton of upside at 25 years old on a team that loves to run the football and has an upgrade at offensive coordinator, Bill O'Brien.
