Mark Ringo Sleepers and Busts | With Kellen Moore fired as offensive coordinator, expect some big changes in Dallas in 2023. Here's what head coach Mike McCarthy had to say about it..... "I've been where Kellen has been: Kellen wants to light the scoreboard up," McCarthy told reporters at the NFL combine. But I want to run the damn ball so I can rest my defense. I don't desire to be the No. 1 offense in the league. I want to be the No. 1 team in the league with a number of wins and a championship. And if we have to give up some production and take care of the ball better to get that, then that's what we'll do." That's a bad sign for CeeDee Lamb's fantasy outlook. Prescott's current ADP of WR 6 is way too high a price for Mark Ringo. I'm dropping everyone remotely related to the Cowboys' passing attack significantly down my rankings. This ain't my first fantasy rodeo. Ya'll remember what I told you come draft day. Ya'll steer clear of fantasy analysts who try to tell you to take Lamb. There will about a lot of fantasy folks out there to hang you this year. Get moving. Bust -William Munny Ringo
Ellis Johnson True North Fantasy Football | In 2022 we finally got to see Ceedee Lamb perform at the WR-one level we were hoping for. After being drafted with the 17th pick i the 2020 draft, we knew he had the talent but was limited by Dak Prescott's injuries and sharing the work with Amari Cooper. In his first season without Cooper, Lamb put together nearly 1400 yards and nine touchdowns, finishing as the WR-six on the season. this year the team brought in Brandin Cooks, however, lost their primary TE Dalton Schultz. Overall, Lamb should have just as good a season as he did in 2022, however, after changing offensive coordinators to Brian Schottenheimer, it will be hard for him to surpass last year's production. | I think you can make an argument that Brown is the most physically dominant WR in the game. After teaming up with his best friend Jalen Hurts, Brown did not disappoint. Finishing 2022 with nearly 1500 yards and 146 targets, it's clear he is the main weapon on this offense. Last year he had 50% of Hurts' passing touchdowns with 11. Although you could view this as a negative, I think it showcases his upside, especially considering this team was automatically running the ball in the Red Zone. |
Justin Herrera TSS Fantasy | Last year Jalen Hurts reached his potential with the addition of his good friend AJ Brown. Brown had his best year in the NFL and Devonta Smith was unlocked as well. Look for Brown's continued success as the team's big play downfield threat. As the Eagles haven't changed much on the offense and more importantly are bringing back four of their five dominant offensive lineman.
Andrew Erickson FantasyPros | Being high on A.J. Brown was a big hit for me in 2022, as the Eagles' WR1 finished as the WR4. I acknowledged his uber-talent from his days in Tennessee, combined with an offense that would be willing to throw more than his old team would unlock his fantasy football ceiling. He did just that, finishing 8th in points per game (15.0) with a 29% target share. He posted the NFL's 6th-highest air yards share (39%) despite running fewer routes than his teammate DeVonta Smith. AJB tied a bow on his first year in Philadelphia second overall in yards per route run (2.89) behind only Tyreek Hill and 6th in yards after the catch per reception. The 26-year-old remains in his uber-prime and needs to be valued as such.
Brandon Funston The Athletic | Just 24 years old, took the next step in 2022, going from good to great with a Top 3 WR tally in half-PPR formats from Weeks 9-18 | NFL's premier power forward WR delivered career bests in catches (88), recYds (1496) and TDs (11) in 1st season in Philly |
Derek Brown FantasyPros | Lamb finished with the quietest 100 receptions (107) and 1,300 receiving yards (1,359) season in recent memory as the WR7 in fantasy. The "CeeDee Lamb alpha season" we have been waiting for finally came to fruition. He was seventh in target per route run rate and sixth in yards per route run as he broke out as one of the league's elite talents. Even with Mike McCarthy calling plays in 2023, Lamb remains primed for another WR1 campaign. | A.J. Brown was everything the Eagles could have hoped for after making the trade in the offseason. Brown finished as the WR8 in fantasy with career highs across the board. The concerns about Jalen Hurts supporting an elite wide receiver in fantasy quickly dissipated as Hurts emerged as a possible MVP candidate. Brown was eighth in raw target volume (146), seventh in deep targets, and 12th in red zone looks. Brown is entering his prime (age 26 season) with an ascending elite quarterback in one of the best offenses in football. Brown is a locked-in WR1 in 2023. |
Wolf of Roto Street Roto Street Journal | 3/17: Feels like a slight downgrade to go from Kellen Moore to run-obsessed Schottenheimer -- but also Schotty can pepper Alphas, and with Dalton Schultz likely gone, tgts up for grabs
Derek Lofland FantasyPros | Lamb was the star of the Cowboys passing game, finishing with 102 receptions for 1,307 yards, and 8 TDs in the fantasy season, despite Dak Prescott missing 4 fantasy games due to injury. Lamb is a very solid WR1 as the star of the Cowboys' passing game. | Brown was stellar in his first season with the Eagles, tallying 84 receptions for 1,401 yards, and 11 TDs. Jalen Hurts and Brown had great chemistry in 2022 and there is no reason to expect 2023 to be any different. Brown is a very solid WR1. |
