Mark Ringo Sleepers and Busts | The Lions keep adding pieces to their offense, and it was pretty lethal last year. Jameson Williams is suspended for the first six games, but once he arrives look out! Rookies Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta should make an impact as well. Gibbs reminds me of a slightly slower version of Tyreek Hill. He can fly! The Lions figure to use him as a WR. Defenses will have to pick their poison. And with one of the better offensive lines in the league to protect him, Goff figures to have plenty of time to get the ball out to his playmakers. Goff should change his name to Go Off because that's what I think he'll do in 2023. With a current ADP of QB 16, Goff seems like a pretty good value considering the weapons he has. Jared Goff could be sitting on a career year, especially once Jameson Williams arrives in week seven. Sleeper
Ellis Johnson True North Fantasy Football | Quietly coming in as the QB-nine last season, Jones deserves more respect from the community. Although he possesses an underrated rushing ability, he will need to pass for more than last year's 15 touchdowns to be a top-10 option. Thankfully, the team bolstered their passing weapons by drafting Jalyn Hyatt, signing Paris Campbell and Darren Waller, as well as bringing back Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepherd. He might not be sexy, but he has a steady shot at repeating his fantasy production of last season.
Wolf of Roto Street Roto Street Journal | 5/5: QB9 last year w/ Giants, despite absolutely NO ONE to throw to-- they go and add Darren Waller, Jalin Wyatt, Parris Campbell. Brian Daboll is a genius and has a million new toys to play with. Danny J could go NUTS! | 5/5: Jahmyr Gibbs could be a slot BEAST alongside ASB in this offense. More weapons can't be a bad thing for Goff -- even if Hendon Hooker is a threat in the future years, this is Goff's team in 2023 2/8 - Ben Johnson, a brilliant OC, is back + Lions reportedly want to commit to Goff, who was a Top-10 QB last year and should only get better behind great line, likely weapons boost too |
Pat Fitzmaurice FantasyPros | A mistake-prone turnover machine during his first three NFL seasons, Daniel Jones flourished in Year Four under first-year Giants head coach Brian Daboll, finishing QB9 in fantasy scoring. Jones ran for 708 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022. He averaged only 200.3 passing yards per game and threw 15 TD passes in 15 starts, but Jones didn't have much pass-catching talent at his disposal and could increase his passing output now that the Giants have added more weaponry. Jones figures to be a low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 in 2023 fantasy drafts. | After disappointing seasons with the Rams in 2019 and 2020, then a lackluster first season with the Lions in 2021, Jared Goff turned in a solid year for Detroit in 2022, throwing for 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns, good for a QB10 finish in fantasy scoring. Goff thrived under first-year Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who'll announced that he'll be back as Detroit's OC after getting some head-coach buzz at the end of the regular season. Goff will also have some exciting pass catchers to work with in WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs, along with WR Jameson Williams after he serves a six-game gambling suspension. |
Derek Lofland FantasyPros | It looks like the Giants want to keep Jones in 2023, but will it be on a franchise tag or a long-term deal and will he holdout if he is franchise tagged. Jones was a good QB2 in fantasy this year and he could have upside with a second year in the system and an upgrade at wide receiver. | Goff had 4,438 yards and 29 passing touchdowns and he was stellar in the second half of the season. Goff has QB1 upside on a Lions team that will have playoff aspirations in 2023. |
Tera Roberts Dynasty Vipers | Assuming he remains with NYG and Saquon. The rushing upside is just so real with Jones. He's a top 10 QB if his weapons improve. |
