| Mark Ringo Sleepers and Busts | Many fantasy analysts have written off Odell Beckham Jr. Not Mark Ringo though. When healthy, OBJ is one of the most electric players in the league. And folks, I think he's finally healthy. He's had time to heal after his reconstructive knee surgery. He's also playing with a QB who is tough to sack- Lamar Jackson. Jackson can either take off and run or buy time in the pocket. And it's very difficult to cover Beckham Jr. for a long time. The best part, Odell's price tag is dirt cheap. His current ADP is WR 61! In 2023 OBJ stands for Odell's Bringing the Juice haha! He only needs three fingers to make acrobatic TD catches. He should use the other two to flip off the haters haha! | Derek Brown FantasyPros | The last time we saw Beckham Jr., he evoked thoughts of yesteryear when Beckham Jr. took the league by storm. While Beckham Jr. was on his way to possibly a stout Super Bowl before injury struck again, we're likely never seeing prime Beckham Jr. again. During his final seven regular season games with the Rams, Beckham Jr. saw a 15.1% target share, 20% target per route run rate, and produced 1.25 yards per route run. His five receiving touchdowns in this span help gloss over the fact that he was a mediocre receiver per efficiency numbers in that stretch. Beckham can continue to be a red zone weapon assuming full health in Baltimore with Lamar Jackson, but the days of valuing him as anything more than a WR4/5 are over. I'll happily draft Rashod Bateman and Zay Flowers over Beckham, and they will go behind Beckham in many draft rooms. Beckham will need outlier touchdown production to surpass my expectations for him in 2023. | |
| Wolf of Roto Street Roto Street Journal | 5/8: Obvious risk given we haven't seen OBJ on a field for almost 2 full years, but we know how big of an impact player he can be. Todd Monken should be pass-happier than usual in BAL, but Flowers has the talent to be a true No.1 -- likely a congested totem pole among WRs, all behind Andrews too, so OBJ could struggle to find consistency. | |
