Sleepers and Busts
The main concern with Kittle is Trey Lance. If he takes over QB you have to figure he'll struggle. He only has one year of experience playing college football at a Division 2 school. That said, Kittle is an elite player at a barren position.Mark Andrews is pretty steady. The knock is he plays on a run oriented offense which limits his upside. The good news is that' it's a good offense as long as Lamar Jackson is healthy. And when they get close to the goal line Andrews is a good red zone weapon in the passing game.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Since Kittle came into the NFL, he's produced TE1-type numbers in 58.5 percent of his games, which ranks third among all tight ends since 2000, ahead of guys like Tony Gonzalez and Jimmy Graham. He's in the prime of his career and now gets an upgrade at quarterback? He hasn't scored many touchdowns (never more than five), which has kept him out of the Travis Kelce territory. If he gets a bump in touchdowns with Trey Lance, we could see a Kelce-like finish in 2021 for Kittle. Health has proven to be an obstacle, but you shouldn't bet against Kittle finishing as a top-two tight end.
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The only question about George Kittle is injuries. If he is healthy, he is elite. Even in an injury-hampered season that saw him play just 8 games, he averaged over 12 half-PPR PPG and 13.2 YPR, obviously elite numbers. If he can stay healthy, he will be elite. The Ravens offense giveth, the Ravens offense taketh away. Andrews has so much appeal because of the lack of proven pass-catchers on the Ravens offense, but his ceiling is also limited by the offense that ranked dead last in throws in 2020. Now with first-round rookie Rashod Bateman entering the fold, it will be hard to lean on Andrews the same way you thought you could at the time last season. He will be good, in terms of TEs, but his price tag will probably be too high in an offense that caps his potential.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Kittle was limited to just 8 games last season due to injury, but he was, as usual, an absolute beast on the field. He led all tight ends in yards per route run at 2.84 and was among the leaders at the position in yards per reception at 6.2. Whether it's Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance throwing him the ball, there's little doubt that Kittle is going to finish as one of the top fantasy tight ends so long as he's healthy, and he's likely the only one who can realistically knock Travis Kelce off the number one spot.Andrews could be a fantasy superstar if the Ravens leaned into the pass just a little more. As it is, they ranked 32nd in pass attempts per game last year, and it's difficult to see them dramatically changing the game plan with Lamar Jackson under center. Even if they do, the team drafted Rashod Bateman and signed Sammy Watkins, which means Andrews will be hard-pressed to significantly improve his production. Still, he ranked as the fourth-best tight end in both total fantasy points and fantasy points per game last year, and was the fifth-most targeted tight end in the red zone. In other words, even if he fails to build on his previous production, he'll likely be a top-5 tight end once again.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Kittle averaged 12.6 fantasy points per game, which was third most in the NFL. Unfortunately, he missed eight games with injuries. He should be back to being an elite fantasy tight end in 2021.Andrews was very good with 141.1 fantasy points, but he was not quite as good as 2019, when he had 175.2 fantasy points. He is still a very good fantasy tight end, but the inconsistency of the Ravens offense keeps him out of the elite players at the position.
