Now that RB Ezekiel Elliott is back in the lineup, Prescott will be in a better spot to take advantages of defenders who must account for Elliott's presence in the backfield. Winston missed three games last season but finished as the QB13 in fantasy points-per-game. Now, there's no guarantee he'll even get his starting gig back, making him a dicey proposition.
Rich Piazza
Fantasy Shed
The team will not commit to him as the "starter" when he comes back from his 3-game suspension. This is a bit of a concern, even though I don't see Ryan Fitzpatrick playing "lights out" during that time.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Ever see The Simpsons' GIF of Milhouse Van Houten playing Frisbee by himself? That's now a live reenactment of Prescott without Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, who accounted for 42.7 percent of Dallas's receptions last season. After leading all passers with 23.0 PPG through Week 7, he averaged as many PPG as Blaine Gabbert (12.3) the rest of the way. He finished QB10 in spite of the free-fall sans Ezekiel Elliott, so there's profit potential at his QB20 ADP. Prescott's running prowess keeps him relevant. Just prepare to endure some significant down weeks in a subpar, low-volume passing offense with a depleted offensive line.Drafters have spent years reaching for Winston's upside, and he maintains a QB21 ADP despite opening 2018 with a three-game suspension. No thanks. He finished QB22 in 13 games last year and has yet to place inside the top 12, so there's little reason to stash an erratic, turnover-prone performer when Mitchell Trubisky is still on the board. In all honesty, I'd rather not have any shares of someone with his abhorrent off-field record anyway.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
I want to have him in the top12, but the replenished O-line is falling apart again. In the 11 games last season where Jameis Winston played 90%+ of the snaps, he averaged 307 yards, 1.7 touchdowns and 1.0 interception for a 18.9 fantasy point per game average. Had he played at that pace for a full 16-game season, he would have finished as the No. 2 quarterback. @4for4_John

Dak takes a tumble without a true number one receiver to throw toThree game suspension stymies value but should be a top-15 option weekly once he is back under center
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Dak's "awful" season actually ended with him finishing as a top 10 fantasy QB ahead of Big Ben. With Zeke back in the lineup full time and a healthy offensive line, he may just return to the level of production we saw his rookie season. Don't forget, Dak was a top 3 fantasy QB when Zeke's suspension began in Week 10 last year.Winston is suspended for three weeks so he is undraftable outside of two-qb leagues. When he returns, however, we are looking at a top-10 quarterback. He was superb last season when healthy, passing for a 16-game rate of 4,900 passing yards so don't sleep on him.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If you would've asked me a month ago, I would've told you that Prescott was being undervalued. A lot has changed since then, as the Cowboys released Dez Bryant, didn't draft a wide receiver in the first-round, and then had Jason Witten retire mid-draft. The Cowboys are going to rely on Ezekiel Elliott more than ever.Did you know that if you combined Winston's and Ryan Fitzpatrick's passing yardage last year, it would've led the NFL? Their combined 4,607 yards were more than Tom Brady's 4,577, though their touchdowns (26) were somewhat lacking. Touchdowns are the hardest thing to predict, but seeing Winston's yardage with the weapons around him, big things are going to happen for him. The three-game suspension that he received definitely threw some water on the fire, but you should be able to snag Winston with the final pick in your draft and you should have a top-12 quarterback on a points-per-game basis.
Staff Rankings
QB List
Dak's success in his rookie season was helped significantly by how good both the Cowboys' offensive line was and how good Ezekiel Elliott was out of the gate. Both of those things took a hit last year, and as a result, Dak hit a rough sophomore slump. The Cowboys still have one of the five best offensive lines in football, and Elliott should be playing all year-both things that should help Dak's value. But at the same time, his value is going to take a hit with the loss of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, both of whom combined for over 40% of his completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. Taking Bryant's place will be Allen Hurns, which is a downgrade, and taking Witten's place will likely be Geoff Swaim, who is a significant downgrade. A lot of Dak's value the past couple years has also been from his legs, rushing for six touchdowns in both of his seasons. It's questionable exactly how sustainable those touchdowns are, however, as they didn't come with a ton of rushing yards (282 and 357 for his rookie and sophomore year respectively). Plus, only one quarterback in the past 15 years has rushed for at least six touchdowns in three consecutive seasons, and that's Cam Newton, who runs a pretty different game from the quarterback position than Dak does. As it stands, I expect Dak to be a QB2 with some upside.Famous Jameis had a rough season emphasized by injury and inconsistency. There were definitely good weeks, like his Week 15 performance, but then there were games like his Week 9 game. Still, Winston showed an adept ability at making big throws, especially on corner routes where he posted a 114.3 QB rating, and he did finish the year with a solid 14.3% DVOA. However he was a pretty volatile player, making some poor decisions on his throws, leading the league with eight fumbles, and struggling mightily with his accuracy, throwing the ball high far too often. He's a boom-or-bust type of player, and given he's suspended for the first three games of the year because he groped an Uber driver, it's hard to consider him a viable fantasy option this year.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
I didn't love what I saw from Dak as a passer last year but he still has crazy upside as a dual threat QB. Losing two reliable receivers hurts in theory, tooI believed in Winston last year and he failed me. I won't make that mistake in 2018 so he has to prove a lot but he could easily be a great sleeper
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Prescott took a step back averaging only 20.4 fantasy points per game this year. The Cowboys also waived his best wide receiver, WR Dez Bryant. Prescott is still a very viable fantasy option, but this offense is going to be centered around RB Ezekiel Elliott.
