FantasyPros
Conner emerged as one of the all-time great draft-day bargains last season after he took over as the Steelers' starting running back once Le'Veon Bell failed to report to the team. He did wonders with the featured role, averaging nearly 21 touches and a touchdown per game in his 13 starts. Although the Steelers offense may not be quite as explosive without Antonio Brown, Conner's ability to succeed as an RB1 is not in doubt. What is in doubt is his workload, as there are rumblings that Jaylen Samuels and/or Benny Snell could significantly cut into Conner's carries. Still, running backs with Conner's fantasy potential are few and far between, and he should still be drafted as an RB1, unless rumors of a significant decrease in workload grow stronger.Mixon's talent is undeniable, as he showed last year with his breakout season during which he averaged 20 touches and over 100 yards per game. Although he should (and will) be drafted as an RB1, his upside his capped some by two main issues. The first is the Bengals' offensive line, which is already dealing with significant holes. The second is the presence of Gio Bernard and Mixon's lack of significant involvement in the passing game. But his floor remains high, and fantasy owners should have no hesitations about drafting him as the top back on their team.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Was No. 8 RB in half-PPR PPG and even though I think he'll lose a few more touches to backup J. Samuels this time around, there'll likely be a few more touches to share with WR A. Brown goneBecame a true game-breaker in '18, with a hefty 10.5% of his 237 carries going for 14+ yards - has room to make greater strides in the passing game after catching 43 passes
Kevin Wheeler
DraftWize
In 2018 Conner had 13 total TDs, 55 receptions, nearly 1,000 rushing yards, and nearly 500 receiving yards, 22 carries+targets per games - and 34% of his carries came against 8+ in the box. @JeffHaseley

Conner will be a workhorse this season. A Steelers workhorse is someone you want. Please don't overthink this.An inefficient runner on a team with a bad offensive line. The Bengals best O-Lineman last season, Clint Boling, retired and then the Bengals recognized their needs and drafted Jonah Williams. Unfortunately, Williams tore his labrum. The Bengals also drafted Trayveon Williams and Rodney Anderson and still have Gio Bernard. His volume will make him a back-end RB1/high-end RB2, but he is just being drafted too high.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Despite missing 3 games last season, Conner ended with 973/12 rushing and 55/497/1 receiving. The Pittsburgh Steelers RB is THE perennial RB you want to own. Don't buy into the Samuels/Snell noise. Even Rashard Mendenhall had back to back years with over 1350 total scrimmage yards and at least 8 TDs. Conner is much better.Mixon is a late round second pick going late first. He has a bad offensive line again, he had three games over 100 rushing yards despite having the 8th most carries of all RBs. He had three games with 5 or more receptions, and 8 weeks of 27 or less receiving yards. He is being overdrafted.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
When Conner wore down at the end of the 2018 season, did the Steelers get a bit worried? They reached for Benny Snell in the fourth-round of the draft, highlighting they clearly felt running back depth was a need. With Antonio Brown and Jesse James gone, there are over 200 targets that have vacated the team, so it's possible Conner can build upon his strong 2018 season. The slight risk of a timeshare knocks him down into the second round, though he's got top-six upsideYou have to love watching Marvin Lewis walk out the door if you're Mixon, as he was severely underused as a receiver in Lewis' offense. In comes Zac Taylor, who said he's going to start the Bengals playbook with the Rams offense, which is where he came from as a quarterbacks coach for Sean McVay. Them drafting two running backs is somewhat concerning, but that could be to protect them in case of a Mixon injury, which has happened a few times in his short career

Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Through 10 games last year, Conner was a top-tier fantasy back before slowing down and suffering an injury toward the end of the year. He still has that type of potential, of course, with this Steelers offense but there are talks of the workload being split with Jaylen Samuels or Benny Snell which should keep Conner out of the first round of your fantasy drafts. Were it not for the Bengals' best offensive lineman retiring and their first round rookie going on injured reserve, Mixon would be in consideration for a first round pick but with those big blows, his stock drops him down to a fringe RB1/RB2. He is extremely talented without question and may even be able to handle a huge workload but it won't matter if the offense can't support a running back.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Conner should be the lead back in Pittsburgh in 2019 and as long as he can stay healthy, he should have RB1 value behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.Mixon had 1,464 yards from scrimmage and 9 touchdowns in 2018. He should thrive in Zac Taylor's scheme that is very running back friendly .
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Conner undoubtedly has the talent to be the workhorse back in Pittsburgh, but seems destined to have Jaylen Samuels and Benny Snell eat into the workload. There's still going to be plenty of work going Conner's way and he should be a steady fantasy contributor week in and week out.Everything was looking up for Joe Mixon's fantasy stock in 2019 until the Bengals lost LT Jonah Williams for the season. Now, Mixon will be reliant upon rookie Head Coach Zac Taylor to scheme open running lanes and involvement in the passing game. Mixon's one of the true workhorse backs in the NFL and he should still contribute in a big way this season, even if his ceiling is slightly less with Williams going down for the year.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Conner averaged 19.6 half PPR points per game last season. It's worth noting that he averaged 23.5 points per game over his first 8 weeks, then just 12.8 points per game over his final 5. He also had 5 100+ yard rushing performances in those first 8 weeks, then exactly zero games over 65 rushing yards over the last 5 weeks. Part of this was likely due to injuries, but part is also the varience of TD's. He scored 10 TD's over those first 8 weeks, then 3 over his final 5. The 13 total TD's in 13 games is going to regress, and he's now likely to see less of an opportunity share with the emergence of Jaylen Samuels. Furthermore, the offense as a whole is likely to regress in the post AB era. They were 4th in both plays per game and TD's per game last season, both of which are likely to drop this season. Conner isn't a bad pick, there are just so many other good picksMixon enters his third season as a pro at the age of 23. He posted a 93rd percentile height adjusted speed score, a 77th percentile SPARQ-x score, a 90th percentile college YPC and an 81st percentile college target market share. Mixon is an elite athlete, and he finally looks poised to take over bell cow duties in this backfield. He should improve upon his 237/1168/9 stat line from last season, as there's no legitimate competition behind him, and he projects to be amongst the league leaders in opportunity share. The Bengals ran the third fewest plays per game last season, and their offense should improve from just 23 points per game last season. A full 16 weeks from Mixon will make him a first round pick in 2020.
