Sleepers and Busts
Saquon's coming off a devastating knee injury. The Giants might ease him back by limiting his touches. Even if they don't, Barkley's running style, which invovles plenty of quick stops and starts isn't ideal for an ACL injury. Can he be the same RB? Can he stay healthy? And I speak from personal experience having torn my ACL, albeit 20 years ago. The Giants line isn't very good and the book is still out on QB Daniel Jones. Saquon is too risky in 2021 for me as an early round pick. Let someone else take the chance. PassJonathan Taylor started out slow, but by the end of the year he was a run away freight train. Marlon Mack is back after signing a new deal and is healthy again. How will the Colts split up the carries? They invested a high pick in Taylor so he should get the bulk of them. The concerns with Taylor are: 1.) he was prone to fumbles in college and 2.) He's not the best at catching passes, which limits his upside in half and full point PPR formats. That said, this Colts team should be in a lot of shootouts in the AFC South. Taylor should get a bunch of TDs in 2021.

FantasyPros
The good news is that by the time Week 1 rolls around, Saquon Barkley will have had a full calendar year to recover from his ACL/MCL/meniscus injury that he suffered last September. This is the fantastic as fantasy football is more fun when Barkley is healthy. The bad news? It truly sounds as if the Giants want to limit his workload early on this year, and it's tough to blame them considering Barkley is their franchise player at the moment. I'm also a tad concerned with his ultimate PPR ceiling, as Saquon benefited immensely from Eli "dumpoff" Manning back in 2018. He's still an unquestioned three-down bell cow, but I just don't expect that type of insane usage in the passing game again. Fantasy managers should expect Barkley's workload -- and therefore his fantasy value -- to increase as the season moves along.Jonathan Taylor enters 2021 as a volatile first-round fantasy selection. This isn't meant to be a cop out in terms of taking a stance on him. Instead, it's important to understand this about him when it comes to roster construction. Taylor could very well be the No. 1 pick in 2022 redraft leagues. He could also be a frustrating player to roster given the uncertainty Carson Wentz brings to this entire Indianapolis offense. Another factor working against Taylor is the presence of Nyheim Hines, who should be considered the favorite for passing game work out of the backfield (no matter how much Taylor is "working on his hands" this summer). Ultimately, Taylor was an elite prospect entering the league and he smashed down the stretch of his rookie season. He isn't a known commodity like Nick Chubb or Aaron Jones, and therefore picking him requires a certain amount of risk tolerance, but I'd be willing to bet on an ascending player who has an overall RB1 finish in his range of outcomes.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
After setting the fantasy world on fire his rookie season with over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns, Barkley hasn't exactly lived up to expectations producing 1,535 total yards and eight touchdowns over 15 games the last two seasons. He tore his ACL early in the season, which should give him plenty of time to bounce back, though his violent running style could take a bit longer in recovery. The Giants suddenly have more weapons than ever in the passing game, so Barkley is unlikely to come close to the 121 targets he saw in 2018, though he should have more scoring opportunities. There is some risk with Barkley at the top of drafts due to his knee, but when on the field, we know he'll produce. This time last year, I was much higher on Taylor than the consensus. I like Taylor, but did everyone forget about what happened the first 10 weeks of the season? Taylor was the RB19 and David Montgomery was the RB20. Taylor finished the year as the RB6 while Montgomery was the RB4. Many will talk about Montgomery's schedule as the reason for his production, hence why he's ranked at RB20 in ECR right now, but are they ignoring Taylor's schedule? He played against the Texans TWICE, Packers, Raiders, Jaguars, and the Steelers (who were decimated by injuries in that game). That's a large reason for his jump in production. I still like Taylor, just not nearly as much as the consensus.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
When Marlon Mack went down with a season-ending injury in Week 1, everyone expected Taylor's breakout to come immediately. But it didn't. Instead, it was a frustratingly slow build, during which it felt like Taylor left rushing yards and fantasy points on the table every game. But if you held out long enough, you were rewarded with a dominant stretch, during which Taylor feasted on a six-game stretch of soft run defenses, enough to propel him to a finish as the RB6 on the season. With an upgrade in quarterback and running behind a strong offensive line once again, a healthy Taylor should amass fantasy points aplenty this year.
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Over the last two seasons, Barkley played a total of 15 games combined. The risk of injury is just too great right now for me to take him over some proven guys who stay on the field, even if he is the most talented back in the NFL.Taylor played so well down the stretch last season that many forget we looked like a bust for a big chunk of the season. With the rookie jitters shaken-off, the powerful Taylor looks like a lock to be a top-10 back in year 2. The two concerns, the downgrade at left tackle and the QB question. If Carson Wentz can return to his once dominant form, the sky is the limit for Taylor.
Kevin Wheeler
The Draft Zone
Will injuries take their toll? Saquon is a great pick for re-draft, but scares me in bestball.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
From a talent perspective, Saquon Barkley is the best RB in the NFL when he's on the field. Unfortunately, the issue has been staying on the field the past two seasons. Barkley has played 15 out of a possible 32 games, which makes him a very risky investment at the top of your draft. For fantasy managers to have a shot of competing deep into their playoffs, they need their top draft pick to pull their weight all season long. As the RB3 in ECR right now, that's too high of a cost for Barkley that doesn't take into account his injury history whatsoever. As a late first-round draft pick, the risk is worth the reward. A top-3 pick in your fantasy football draft might be a little bit too rich.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Injuries capped Barkley's 2019 season and completely derailed his 2020 season as he played only two games. I love Barkley's ability, but he needs to stay healthy if he is going to realize his unlimited potential.Taylor was sixth among fantasy running backs with 234.8 fantasy points, but he ended the season with 125.3 fantasy points in his final 5 games. I think he picks up where he left off in his second year and he is a more consistent elite RB1 running behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.
