| Mark Ringo Sleepers and Busts | Breece Hall is coming back from a torn ACL, those are tough to come back from in the following season. If he isn't ready, it's between Zonovan "Bam" Knight and rookie Israel Abanikanda for the lion's share of the carries. Knight was impressive last year. He ran a slow forty time (4.58) in college, but looks faster on tape. He runs without hesitation and is excellent at breaking tackles. And it was Knight, not Michael Carter, who got most of the carries after Hall went down last year. Abanikanda is also impressive. He jumps off the screen. He's bigger and faster than Knight. He ran a blazing forty time under 4.40! His weakness is the passing game. He didn't have many receptions. And, like most rookies, he struggles in pass protection. Whoever is better at pass protection will probably win the coveted backup role. Keep an eye on this battle in training camp. If Hall starts off on the PUP list or has a setback, one of these RBs could make a big impact in 2023. Stay tuned. Ringo's comp- Abanikanda reminds me of Isiah Pacheco. He has tremendous acceleration and burst. He can fly. However, he doesn't have the pass protection chops that Pacheco did coming out of college. That could limit his playing time. | |

Zeke Elliott still lingers, but as of now Josh Kelley is among the BEST last round stabs as a handcuff-with-TD-benefits 2/8 - Kellen Moore is reportedly "developing a role" for Kelley, who impressed down the stretch.
