The Athletic
He's likely to have to work harder with A. Brown out of the picture, but Juju is in the mold of guys like Anquan Boldin and Hines Ward who didn't mind working hard and played like they were born to play footballCan struggle with week-to-week consistency, but he rarely misses a game and has averaged a 79/1220/8 line in his 5 seasons, numbers he's a great bet to reach in this year's Tampa environment
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Smith-Schuster should be the lead receiver in Pittsburgh with WR Antonio Brown on his way out the door. Smith-Schuster had 111 receptions for 1,426 yards and 7 touchdowns last year and he should be primed for a big jump in Year 3 as the lead receiver.Mike Evans is one of the most gifted receivers in the NFL, but he fails to dominate in the red zone the way he should. I think he will have a very good season, but I think Godwin will be the best fantasy wide receiver in Tampa Bay.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Juju is going 100/1600/10 this season. He is a beast and while people think the TDs may not be there, he was second in the league with 16 red zone receptions last season.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
With Antonio Brown out of town, many will automatically assume that Smith-Schuster will get more targets. You shouldn't be so quick to jump aboard that train. He saw 166 targets in 2018, which ranked fourth in the league. On top of that, the Steelers threw the ball a league-high 687 times. On top of that, he'll now see a bit more shadow coverage from top cornerbacks, making life a tad difficult. He's still going to be the focal point of their pass-attack, making him worthy of a second-round pickFor years, it's been Evans' show in Tampa Bay, as he's averaged 148 targets over the last four years. He'll now be competing with Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard, who have carved out important roles in the offense. The arrival of Bruce Arians is a positive on the offense as a whole, but the running backs are going to score a lot more points than they did under Dirk Koetter. Evans is a relatively safe pick as a low-end WR1 but his ceiling may not be what it used to be
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
There is no doubt about it that JuJu was the best slot receiver in football last year. Part of that, of course, had to do with Antonio Brown drawing loads of attention, and it remains to a question how he will perform outside versus stronger cornerback matchups. The target share is expected to improve but that assumes Big Ben again throws a league-high 675 passes which seems unlikely.Evans has remarkably started his career with five consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. The touchdowns aren't consistent, but fantasy owners can rely on him to post plenty of points once again. The primary concern is that Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard may be good enough cut into his target share a bit, but Evans should still be drafted as a WR1.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
The Steelers passed an absurd 689 times in 2018, which lead to incredible opportunities for both Antonio Brown and Juju. With Brown now in Oakland, there's the potential for Juju to step in and receive a ridiculous amount of targets. However, I'm projecting the Steelers offense to move more towards a balanced approach by running the ball more and Juju is going to draw consistent double team coverage. While I still believe Juju can prevail under these circumstances, expectations need to be tempered with the young 22 year old.Mike Evans put up the quietest 1,500 receiving yard season ever last year. He now gets an offensive mastermind in Bruce Arians in as head coach and all indications point to them throwing the ball a ton this season. The running game is shaky, at best, and the defense still has massive holes on that roster. The Bucs are going to air the ball out this season and Mike Evans stands to be the biggest beneficiary. He's an incredible value at his current ADP.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Juju has the 4th most receptions of all time through a WR's first two seasons. And that was with AB there. AB accumulated 168 targets last season. Try to wrap your head around that. Juju had 166 targets last year…and now 168 have just been vacated. Please don't listen to people who tell you that he'll do worse because he's the #1 now. There is absolutely a chance that he regresses on a per target basis, but there is very little talent in that WR core and they are going to find themselves down more than usual. 180 targets is well within his range of outcomes. My latest projection update has Juju with 175 targets, and he has edged past Adams with my top overall projectionMike Evans has never been under 1,000 yards in his 5 year career. The Bucs also traded DeSean Jackson and didn't resign Adam Humphries. It might not seem like a lot, but that's 179 vacated targets. Some of that will go to Howard and Godwin...but some will also go to Evans. I have him projected for 142 targets this season, but I could easily see him going over 150. He had less of a red zone role than I expected last season, but those numbers should rebound in 2019. Evans is a great pick, and his ADP is really nice in the mid to late second round.
