Lineups
Robert Woods is consistently one of the most underappreciated players in fantasy football. He's surpassed 130 targets each of the past two seasons and could be headed for a career-high mark after the departures of Brandin Cooks and Todd Gurley. Woods is a consistent force, particularly in PPR leagues as in 10 of his 15 games last year, he had 9+ targets. I don't expect any two-tight end schematic shifts to impact Kupp's usage, but if it does, Woods would have a bit of added upside in the target department. I know it's not exciting to draft Woods, but you'll be happy to have a consistent plug-and-play guy who will rarely if ever lose you a week.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Although Smith-Schuster moved into Pittsburgh's No. 1 receiver role after the team's trade of Antonio Brown prior to last season, his 2019 wasn't what fantasy owners were expecting. That was due in large part to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffering a season-ending injury in Week 2, and neither Mason Rudolph nor Duck Hodges emerging as an adequate replacement.Woods enjoyed the most productive season of his six-year NFL career in 2018, setting career-high marks in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. While he reached 90 receptions last season for the first time in his career, his production slipped in the yardage and scoring departments. His two receptions on plays run inside the 10-yard line ranked fifth on the Rams in '19.
John Hesterman
Dynasty League Football
Annually undervalued, Robert Woods represents a high target floor, solid and consistent production, and we should all be expecting more than the pair of receiving touchdowns he managed last season. The Rams moving to more 12-Personnel ensures he is not leaving the field despite the package. Woods has a WR2 fllor with WR1 upside.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Did everyone forget just how talented Smith-Schuster is because he had a down year in 2019? He played through multiple injuries and dealt with what was probably the worst quarterback situation in the league. In Week 1 and Week 2, when Ben Roethlisberger was on the field, Smith-Schuster saw 16 targets, catching 11 of them for 162 yards. Not too shabby. Insert bad quarterbacks, paired with Smith-Schuster trying to run routes from the perimeter, and it was a recipe for disaster. The Steelers have vowed to put him back in the slot where he belongs, and he's getting back Roethlisberger, who's continually supported fantasy receivers throughout his long career. Going all the way back to 2008, Ben Roethlisberger's No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers combined for at least 225 targets on eight different occasions, including 334 times when he had Antonio Brown and Smith-Schuster in 2018. With Roethlisberger on the field, the Steelers haven't thrown the ball less than 584 times since way back in 2012. It's hard to see a scenario where Smith-Schuster doesn't see at least 130 targets if he's healthy (that would be just a 22.2 percent target share), which is elite volume, so even if he's average, he'd be a high-end WR2. I'll leave you with this... Smith-Schuster posted 1,426 yards in his second NFL season at the age of 22. There are just six players who posted more yardage in one of their first two seasons. The list includes Isaac Bruce, Josh Gordon, Torry Holt, Jerry Rice, Victor Cruz, and Odell Beckham Jr. We can't pretend Smith-Schuster is anywhere close to average. He's worth a third-round pick in drafts, even though many are getting him in the fourth.Despite scoring just two touchdowns last year, Woods was able to finish as the No. 17 wide receiver. Why do we continually doubt that his production will continue? Under Sean McVay, he's been a WR2 or better in 21-of-43 games, which is the same as Tyreek Hill. He may not have the upside that Hill does, but as a WR2 on your team, he's gold.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
A healthy Big Ben is the key for top 10 WR fantasy territoryThe volume is there, the departure of Brandin Cooks helps, hoping there can be more TD's for 2020
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
The prototypical bounceback pick. If we took him as a WR1 in 2019, and Ben went down, what has changed? Very little. JuJu is a dynamite pick at ADPWoods is the model of consistency, has remained in the 5th forever. Won't win you many weeks, but if he plays in most offensive packages the Ying to Cooper Kupp's Yang, he has WR2 potential with ease.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Heading into the 2019 season there wasn't a WR more primed for a breakout than Juju Smith-Schuster and then Ben Roethlisberger got hurt. That changed Juju's entire season turning him from a WR1 to a WR3 pretty quickly. Now, with BIg Ben slated to return, Juju has a legitimate shot to finish as a WR1 in 2020. We know he has the talent, now it's just about Roethlisberger and himself staying healthy.Robert Woods is the definition of consistency. Week in and week out you know what you're getting from Woods and fantasy football that's an incredibly valuable trait. He may not have WR1 upside, but you won't find a better WR2.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Woods is the most underappreciated WR year in and year out. He is the Rams WR1.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Could rebound in a huge way w/ Big Ben back, but the emergences of Diontae Johnson and James Washington as real talents could cloud the previous target-hog role he was destined for. And who knows if he can truly handle No.1 corners? The Alphas are typically more QB Proof than this.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
There is a pretty big disconnect between what the average fantasy football player thinks about Woods and what the expert consensus thinks about him, with the latter being significantly higher. Woods scored just three touchdowns last year but there is bound to be positive regression, and he's seen at least 130 targets in each of the last two years. With Brandin Cooks gone, and with how Woods came on toward the second half of the season, he's much closer to a WR1 than fantasy managers are giving him credit for.
Jason Petropoulos

Woods is the most underrated WR1 in the league this offseason. He's basically guaranteed to go at least 85/1100/5, has more upside than that with the departure of Cooks, never steps off the field no matter what personnel the Rams decide to use (the same can not be said for Kupp), and will likely score more TDs this season as Jared Goff had SEVEN different passing plays end up at the one-yard line last season. I will have Woods on all of my teams at his current ADP.

Smith-Schuster hurt a lot of people last season with his performance combined with the price you had to pay to get him in drafts. However, Big Ben is back behind center this season, which is crucial for the offense's success a whole. While I don't believe Juju has top-5 fantasy potential this season, he should be in the conversation for a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 all year long.Over the back half of 2019, Woods was a WR1 and gave you some huge performances. This offense doesn't appear set to change from what was working for them at the end of last season, which indicates that Woods is in line for another huge season. Calvin Ridley may be the best overall value in redraft AP right now, but Woods is a close second.

It's very difficult to project JuJu in 2020. After an amazing pair of breakout seasons, he massively disappointed thanks to injury and awful QB play. While Big Ben is back, JuJu remains a question mark thanks to the emergence of Diontae Johnson and James Washington and the arrival of Chase Claypool and Eric Ebron. I hope to see JuJu man the slot and get a large target volume but he remains a big risk you should avoid in the first two-three rounds.I've been on the Robert Woods hype train all off-season and it seems to finally be gaining momentum. He finished WR17 despite only scoring 2 TDs and a couple of very poor games plus a mid-season injury. TD regression should happen though that's never been his strength and for that reason, he's a great PPR option and a solid option in other modes given his late fourth-round cost.

A quick reminder Juju is still having a historic start to his career. He will be entering next season at only 23 years. Screaming buy after a down 2019 season.Robert Woods finished as the WR14 in PPR leagues last year with 140 targets /90 rec /1134 yards/2 TDs. With no Cooks and positive TD regression, Woods may be in for his first top-10 season of his career. He had just 2 TDs on 90 receptions which made him WR14 in 2019. Woods has also avg'd 18 carries / 136 yards / 1 TD the past two years. @amazehayes_ Woods has caught at least 85 balls, gone over 1,100 yards, and has seen 130+ targets in back-to-back seasons. @grahamBarfield

Backend WR2 production thru Week 8 with QB Rudolph, but injuries (to JuJu, Rudolph) derailed 2nd half - Big Ben's return should help restore JuJu to WR Top 15Became 1 of just 5 WRs in NFL history to catch 90 passes with 2 TD catches or less in 2019 - heavy target share, plus TD regression offers backend WR1 upside

He definitely didn't take hold of the alpha roll in Pittsburgh but I think the season is mostly a wash because of the QB change. It was a bit concerning that he was outpaced in targets by Diontae. And before he gets some hype from Big Ben returning let's not forget he had less targets than Washington, and Diontae, yes he played 80 less snaps but I have my concerns. And if the rumors of not resigning him are true, and with the addition of Claypool, the Steelers apparently have concerns as well.Has quietly led the team in targets back to back years. A combination of 4 missed games and playing with 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks derailed Smith-Schuster in 2019. He should rebound from 42 receptions, 552 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns, especially if Big Ben is healthy and the Big Ben of old.Woods was solid with 1,249 yards from scrimmage, but he had only 3 touchdowns. He is a WR3 with his nice yardage totals, but he does not score enough touchdowns to be in the WR2 discussion.
