FantasyPros
Jones is a 6'3" pass-catching cyborg who received 11 targets inside the 10. He scored three times. He has yet to compile a double-digit touchdown campaign since 2012, so drafters can't ignore the issue when choosing their team's cornerstones. They also can't ignore his four straight 1,400-yard seasons, which elevated him to finish no lower than WR8 in standard or PPR. Simply pairing that production with six or seven TDs will pay off his No. 13 overall ADP.A model of consistency, Thomas provided at least 9.5 PPR points in all but one game last season. He joins Antonio Brown and Julio Jones as the only wideouts to finish among the position's top 10 in each of the last two seasons. Drew Brees's go-to target is a good gig, one that has Thomas deserving of second-round consternation. Those pointing to positive TD regression for Brees should expect more than five end-zone visits from his premier pass-catcher.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Don't buy into the narrative that Jones is either inconsistent or injury prone. He has been just a step behind Antonio Brown in both of those over the past several seasons and is a near-lock to return top-ten value at the position for the fifth consecutive season.Starting an NFL career with 2,382 receiving yards on 196 receptions during the first two seasons shows just how special Thomas is. We may not have even seen the best of him yet. Don't be shocked if he leaps forward into the top tier at the position.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Red zone bad luck was ridiculous in '17 (1 TD on 11 targets inside 10-yard line) - NFL's perfect WR weapon should see a solid bounce-back in that category, to go along with his standard 90+ catches, 1,400+ rec. yardsMaybe not a dynamic talent, but no less than rock solid - a King of Consistency that has more catches in first two seasons of NFL career (196) than any other player since AFL/NFL merger in 1970
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If you're fortunate to land Jones late in the first, consider yourself one lucky person. While some have said he's inconsistent, the numbers tell a different story. He's finished with WR1 numbers in 40.4 percent of his career games, which ranks second to only Odell Beckham Jr. since 2001. If you think he's too "boom or bust," the only players who have posted a higher WR3 percentage than his (73.4 percent) are Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown, A.J. Green, and Michael Thomas. He's a stud who is due for some positive touchdown regression. He might be the only one who can compete with Brown for the top wide receiver spot. While some will say Calvin Ridley could steal some targets, he will also put safeties away from Jones at times. What Thomas lacked in upside in 2017, he made up for with consistency, as he was finished with WR2 or better numbers 75 percent of the time, which ranked second to only Deandre Hopkins. Should some of Alvin Kamara's regression go Thomas' way, you'll be getting a steal in the second-round, as he'll finish as a top-five wide receiver. Most don't realize that he finished top-eight last year despite scoring just five times. As long as Drew Brees is his quarterback, Thomas is worth a top-20 pick in any format. Since 2011, Thomas' 80.6 percent rate of finishing as a WR3 or better is the best in football, with Antonio Brown right behind him at 79.2 percent.

QB List
The perennial fantasy stud slots in at #5 this year for me for two reasons: years of dents and dings which have slowed him down in-season cannot be ignored, and of course the extremely talented offensive group he plays within. While Jones dominated his offense last year, his team will be returning a healthy Devontae Freeman to the backfield AND adding first-round rookie Calvin Ridley to the mix with a frankly underrated #2 in Mohamed Sanu. Jones is still elite in every way, just not with the same elevated floor we've seen previously.Alright folks, this is where we start spicing things up. Unlike Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., or Keenan Allen, Thomas offers a truly elite mix of consistent target share, production with that target share, and a stable role in his top-tier offense with the only competing pass catchers being Ted Ginn, Cameron Meredith, or Benjamin Watson. Having only missed 1 game in the past two years, Thomas has a clean bill of health to his name as well, lending to his truly elite consistency. Thomas serves as a rock to any lineup week after week and his consistency and high scoring offense are what solidify's him as the #3 receiver in my book.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
What do you do with a talent like Jones, who can't seem to score touchdowns? You rank him high because he still put up great numbers without the touchdowns, plus he can sometimes, once in a blue moon, will get into the end zone. And, Jones' three touchdowns last season were an outlier even for him, so expect 6-8, which are around his average. If he would have gotten just six touchdowns this season, he would have finished as a top-four fantasy receiver.Thomas had trouble getting into the end zone in 2017, as the Saints had great luck at getting their running backs in the end zone, but he's the no-doubt No. 1 receiver on a top offense. I expect we'll see an increase to better touchdown numbers moving forward.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
We should see a positive TD regression out of Jones, who struggled mightily in the red zone in the first season with Steve Sarkisian as the play caller. Wothy of No. 2 WR slotting, Jones is a nice value at the top of Round 2. Thomas should also see a bigger share of red zone targets as Mark Ingram sits out September. Thomas should top 100 receptions and 1,200 yards once again.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Julio had 1,400 yards and plenty of red zone opportunity. If he wasn't on the (historically) negative side of TD variance, people would've thought very differently about his 2017 season. @Michael_Dubner He'll be 30 during the season this year, but he's the leading WR in yards per game by a solid amount. He's lacked TD upside his whole career, but is bound to rebound after only catching 1 TD in 18 redzone targets last year. I'll wait for a couple of boom weeks and sell high or ride him out as he collects 150 targets for the next 3-4 years. The Athletic's Jeff Schultz reports the Falcons have informed Julio Jones he will not receive a new contract this year. Jones skipped OTAs and minicamp to show displeasure with his contract, which makes him the league's eighth-highest-paid receiver. theathletic.com Michael Thomas's 196 receptions are the most of any receiver in his first two seasons. He's ninth in yards (2,382) and fourth in catch % (72.6%). @4for4_John

Contract woes are troubling but Jones should be a top 5 beast per usualThomas has immense upside but he's curbed a bit by a balanced system. I still think he's a lock for the top-10 and atop 5 threat

Ryan will remain maddenning for going away for Julio for what seems like quarters at a time but he will have enough big games to make up for itLocked and loaded WR1 in PPR
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Jones had only 3 touchdowns in 2017, but he did average 10.2 fantasy points per game. He is still a WR1, although I do not think he is worth a first round pick if he is not going to score double-digit touchdowns. Thomas was fine in the receptions (104) and yardage (1,245) department, but he only scored 5 touchdowns. I think he should be fine in 2018 as a WR1 in fantasy and those touchdown numbers should be closer to double-digits in 2018.
