FantasyPros
When he's on the field, you have yourself a guaranteed top-five wide receiver. While health has been an issue in the past, Jones has now played at least 14 games in five straight seasons. Outside of his rookie season and the year he needed surgery on his foot, Jones has been a top-10 receiver in all six of his other seasons. He's a safe pick at the back end of the first-roundYou have to love the landing spot for Beckham as he's now tied to a franchise quarterback who's deadly accurate. The issue is that the Browns are a franchise that has tons of talent on the defensive side of the ball, which may limit the amount of pass attempts to go around. Still, you don't trade for Beckham and not use him. He may not belong in the elite tier in year one with the Browns, but it shouldn't shock anyone if he finishes there. He is an outlier
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Jones is a stud and a yearly #1 threat. What more needs to be said?Beckham is in the best situation he's had yet in the NFL. Now he just needs to stay healthy.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Jones has as much talent as any wide receiver in the game, without question, and he averaged about 100 yards receiving per game last year. The only criticism is his lack of touchdown catches, but his production there obviously increased over the second half of the season. With Dirk Koetter on board, Jones' production could climb even higher. Expect another elite season from the big receiver, and he should be drafted as a top-five wide receiver. If you said a couple of years ago that Beckham Jr. would move from the Giants to the Browns and be seeing a massive upgrade in both offense and quarterback play, you would have sounded ridiculous. There's no way to fully understand how the Browns offense will unfold, given the new offensive coordinator and the fact that they probably won't need to throw quite as much with an improved overall defense. But none of that really matters. Beckham has basically averaged a 1500-yard, 12-touchdown pace since he entered into the league, and should now have an elite quarterback throwing him the ball. There are plenty of mouths to feed in Cleveland and Beckham has battled injuries in his career, but don't kid yourself. He's going to have a monster year.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Return of OC Dirk Koetter should be fine for Jones (Koetter-led offenses have finished Top 4 in pass att. in 4 of his past 6 seasons) - Jones led NFL with 170 targets, and is avg. 104.6 rYPG since '1344 TD in 59 career games, 3rd-most among WRs in NFL history thru 59 games - quicks, route-running, hands, YAC ability should be match made in heaven with QB Mayfield's accuracy, anticipation
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
If OBJ stays healthy we may be talking about him being the first receiver off the board next season. I don't think we need to talk about how good OBJ is, we have seen the numbers he can put up with Eli Manning, this connection could be and likely will be game changing.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
OBJ was 13th last season in True Target Value with Eli Manning throwing him the ball. If those targets came from Baker Mayfield instead, OBJ would have been the 9th WR. Now factor in that Mayfield was 12th in True Throw Value in his ROOKIE SEASON and OBJ becomes a top-3 WR option with potential for for a WR1 finish.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
You can say DeAndre Hopkins is the world's most talented receiver and even that his QB is a better passer than Matt Ryan, but the fact of the matter is that Hopkins has never once had as many receiving yards as Julio has averaged over the last five seasons. We know exactly who Jones is and it's a top fantasy performer every year. If they ever start throwing him the ball in the Red Zone, look out for a historic season. You can argue that there is not a more talented receiver, or even football player in the league. Now that Beckham is in Cleveland with the next great quarterback, his situation is much better than he's ever seen before. With those two in mind, he has as good of a chance as anyone to finish as the WR1 but with soft tissue injuries in his past, he comes with the most risk of any elite receiver too.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
We've become so used to it that the fact that Julio Jones consistently puts up 1,400+ receiving yards practically goes un-talked about. This offense is going to air the ball out and Julio will be the centerpiece of it all. There's no reason to doubt Jones putting up video game like numbers again in 2019.The general public has seemingly forgotten about OBJ and his talents and abilities when he's on the field. Injuries marred his season last year, but he's the best wideout in the game when he plays. Now, he heads to a situation with an ascending QB talent in Baker Mayfield who can take full advantage of OBJ's quickness and route-running ability. Baker's going to latch onto Odell early and the sky's the limit for him in 2019.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Julio Jones has over 1,400 receiving yards in each of the last 5 seasons. Think about that for a second. The guy everyone wants to say is super injury prone has over 1,400 receiving yards in 5 straight seasons. He's also averaged 6.2 TD's over that stretch, which isn't elite, but it's also not as bad as people make it out to be. Since 2014 he's finished as the WR: 8/2/6/4/5. New OC Dirk Koetter loves to push the ball downfield, and that's exactly where Julio thrives. Look for Julio to finish as a top 8 WR yet again in 2019.People are a little too scared of Odell this season. His target market share is likely going to decrease...but he's also going to a different market. Odell moves from a bad offense, with a bad QB, to an elite offense, with an already elite QB. Also, is there really that much competition for targets? Sure Landry will get his, but Njoku's never been a target hog, and they are likely to use Chubb on most downs ahead of Duke (assuming Duke is still even on the team come week 1). Behind them all you have is Antonio Calloway, Rashard Higgins and Damion Ratley. People can't honestly expect those guys to take that many targets away from Odell! Is he a first round pick? Probably not. But he's a great second round pick, and I wouldn't be shocked at all if he were to finish in the top 3.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Jones had 113 receptions for 1,677 yards and 8 touchdowns last year. He snapped out of his TD drought last year and reestablished himself as an elite WR1.Beckahm Jr. is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and playing with QB Baker Mayfield is going to really help his fantasy production in 2019.
