So much for letting Henry loose. The Titans replaced DeMarco Murray with a more effective Dion Lewis, trapping the 23-year-old in another timeshare sure to agitate investors. He showed occasional brilliance on the strength of three scores spanning 66, 72, and 75 yards, but averaged 30.5 yards in the other 13 games. Unless Lewis gets hurt or surrenders the heavy portion of Tennessee's backfield duty, anyone drafting Henry in the third or fourth round will likely be disappointed.Don't forget about Ingram after the first few rounds. He stockpiled 190.5 fantasy points in 12 games after New Orleans dealt Adrian Peterson--a mark eclipsed during the whole season by just seven other rushers--so he should make plenty of noise upon returning from a four-game suspension. Two postseason duds and eight of his dozen scores occurring inside the five cast some doubt over a full-fledged repeat, but anyone comfortable in finding a September seat-holder can snag 12 games of a low-end RB1 at a low-end RB2 or flex price.

FantasyPros
If the Titans hadn't brought in Dion Lewis, Henry just might be a top 6 fantasy running back this season. With Lewis in the fold, Henry might just be a flex player from week to week. We will know plenty more as the season draws near so keep an ear out for news and be careful to not draft Henry too high in the meantime. Ingram is set to miss 4 games due to suspension, but he was rock solid last year and is expected to maintain the same role upon his re-entry. From the moment he comes back, you are getting an easy RB1, so if you believe you can muster a win or two without your fifth round pick over the first month then don't hesitate to get Ingram on your roster at that point.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
He'll be a near-zero in the passing game, but he should see something in the mid-200s for carries, giving him Jordan Howard-like upside - I just happen to like Howard a bit moreIf he missed four games last season, he'd still have finished No. 13 at RB for the season, and in '15 he was No. 13 despite actually missing four games - even if you factor in some regression because the overall NO backfield production was insane, you can make a fair case for ranking him back-end top 20 at RB
Rich Piazza
Fantasy Shed
Buyers beware on Henry. The Titans brought in Dion Lewis for a reason...and it wasn't to sit and watch Henry dominate the snaps. Lewis provides more in the passing game, and is better bang buck at this point.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
After sharing a backfield with DeMarco Murray the last two years, Henry seemed to have the backfield all to himself once they released Murray this offseason. Instead, they upgraded Murray when they snagged Dion Lewis, who is one of the best pass-blockers in the game and one they paid $20 million to over four years. It's clear that they want Henry to remain in the role he was last year, which netted him 11.7 touches per game (ranked just 42nd among RBs). While I suspect he'll get a small bump, he's not likely to get into the 15-16-touch range, which is what's often required to finish as a top-15 running back. He's going to be touchdown-dependent, something that isn't ideal for someone who costs a third-round pick. He's likely to finish as a top-20 running back, but know that the ride will be somewhat bumpy. He's suspended for the first four games of the season, sure, but getting him for 12 games will be more valuable than someone like Derrick Henry, who will be touchdown-reliant in all 16 games. It's clear that the Saints don't want to shift more of the early-down work to Alvin Kamara, as Sean Payton said they don't want to change his workload much, even during the first four weeks while Ingram is out. Ingram is also due for some positive regression in the touchdown department, as he caught 58 passes last year without a single touchdown. The league average among running backs is one every 25.6 receptions. Even with his suspension, Ingram is worthy of a top-20 running back selection.
Staff Rankings
QB List
If you told me today that Derrick Henry had the Titans' running back job completely to himself, I would be ranking him a lot higher. But that's not the case-instead, the Titans signed Dion Lewis in the offseason, and reports from the Titans' coaching staff seem to see this as a pretty evenly-split committee with a slight favor to Henry. As a result, Lewis is going to eat into Henry's carries, which is going to limit his value. Plus, right tackle Jack Conklin is injured, and there's no guarantee he'll be ready for the start of the season. That's going to hurt Henry's (and Lewis') production as well, because Conklin is an excellent tackle. The Titans still have a really solid offensive line even without Conklin, but losing him certainly doesn't help. It's worth noting that Lewis has had injury problems in the past, and if he gets hurt and cedes the job to Henry more full-time, Henry will become a lot more valuable.Even with the Saints using Alvin Kamara as much as they did last year, Ingram was still able to manage 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns, including seven top-10 finishes last year (one of them as number one). Unfortunately, he's got two things working against him this year-first, there's the likelihood that he's going to lose work to Kamara after his explosive season last year, and second, he's suspended for the first four games of the year. He should still have value once he returns from his suspension given the high-octane offense the Saints have and how good their offensive line is, but he's not the high-end RB2 he used to be.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Henry got good news when DeMarco Murray was released but then bad news when the Titans signed Dion Lewis. Henry will be the power/goal-line back, but Lewis is more versatile and could easily see more snaps and likely receiving work. The Titans' offense will need to take a big step forward to help both be top fantasy plays, and for now, I'm leaning toward Lewis' versatility.Ingram will miss the first four games of the season. He should be able to return after that and put up similar numbers to last season, but if someone like Jonathan Williams comes in and plays well in his stead, it could hurt his touches afterward.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
I'm starting to warm up to Henry after viewing him as one of the most overrated backs in early 2018 mock drafts. I still feel that he's going to have a hard time securing enough touches to get much higher than RB20. Ingram is a proven producer and a potential championship-winning addition if his owners can survive not having him for five out of the first six weeks of the season.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Power runner with all of the goaline and short yardage work. Lewis stayed healthy last year, but it was the first time in 5 years that he saw over 200 touches, the previous high being 85 touches in 7 games. Even if Lewis stays healthy this is at least a 50/50 split, more likely that Henry takes over this role and becomes a work-horse by next year. When Derrick Henry has more than 10 rush attempts, has averaged 12.58 PPR/11.49 STD FPPG Over a full season that equates to RB13 PPR/RB9 STD in 2017 That was with DeMarco Murray having 477 carries during that time. @RandleRant 4 game suspension
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
I love Henry's physical running but Dion Lewis curbs his upside a bit. He still has monster upside, but a massive role is no lock.Ingram will miss a handful of games due to a suspension, so his season long value takes a big hit. He's still a solid pick and can return RB1 value in any given week.

Henry should take over the lead back role in Tennessee next year and he should see his carries increase to the 225-250 range. The issue keeping him from the RB1 discussion is the addition or RB Dion Lewis, who will steal some touches, especially on 3rd down and passing situations. Ingram averaged 14.1 fantasy points per game this year. I think Ingram will lose touches to Kamara next year and he is suspended for the first four games. He probably will have only flex value for the season and RB2 value once he starts playing in Week 5.

Anything less than 1,000 yards rushing and 10 TD's will be a disappointment PED ban on top of contract year will result in a much larger reduction in role than originally anticipated
