Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Ryan did have some appeal earlier on this off-season, but with Julio Jones now out of town, I'm staying completely away from the veteran QB. With a WR corps that lacks proven depth, it's difficult to find a path for how Ryan finishes as a top-12 QB. He might be able to provide you with a solid floor each week, but the path for upside simply isn't there. He's a fine QB2 for your Superflex formats, but I'm willing to look elsewhere at the position in my 1QB leagues. It's going to be extremely tempting to pull the trigger on Lawrence in your redraft leagues later on, but we simply don't know how he's going to translate to the NFL level right away. He has the mobility and rushing upside to do great things down the road, but he shouldn't be someone that you draft with confidence and roll out there Week 1. You can draft him as a second QB if you're someone who likes deploying that strategy or keep an eye on him on your waiver wire. Unfortunately, we might see his ADP creep up by the time drafts roll around where he's going ahead of more surefire options at the QB position. In that situation, I'll lean back on experience and draft someone else who I've seen produce in the NFL previously. Lawrence has the potential to be a low-end QB1 for fantasy...it just might not happen right away.
Mark Ringo
Sleepers and Busts
The Falcons defense is awful. They'll be trailing and forced to pass, which means a lot of garbage yards will be there for the taking in the 4th Qtr. Losing Julio Jones hurts. At least Atlanta drafted highly touted rookie TE Kyle Pitts. If the Falcons can protect Ryan he could put up some decent numbers. Ryan's lack of mobility limits his upside though. Seriously, if the city of Atlanta built a new statue I think the statue would gain more rushing yards haha!Trevor's value all depends on what Urban Meyer does with Tim Tebow. If he uses Tebow instead of Lawrence down inside the five, Trevor's value takes a major hit. If not, Trevor could surprise a lot of fantasy folks. He's mobile & gets valuable rushing pts. He's one of the more heralded QB prospects to come out since Andrew Luck. Lawrence reminds me of a long haired, taller version of Roger Staubach. Ringo's advice- monitor the Tebow situation in preseason closely.
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Put a fork in Matt Ryan, he's done. Last season, he led the entire league in both pass attempts and completions yet only mustered the 15th most fantasy points per game while finishing 24th in True Throw Value (a BRoto Fantasy Exclusive Stat that measures a QB's fantasy efficiency through the air). If you can't count on a QB1 finish, at the very least, from an immobile QB in a year that he leads the league in completions, then what more is there really to consider? On top of that, in the last two years Ryan has average 5 less fantasy points per game without Julio Jones. This might be the last year that Matt Ryan is a full-year starter in the NFL.The wonder kid may be coming into the NFL as a "can't miss," but he is still a rookie, playing for a rookie NFL head coach on a franchise that has seen little success. Although his talent is undeniable, going into the season with Sunshine as your QB1 is a recipe for streaming.
Joe Pisapia
FantasyPros
Ryan had two elite wide receivers in Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, but Julio is now onto Tennessee. The addition of TE sensation Kyle Pitts in the draft could fill that void and running back Mike Davis in free agency gives Ryan a complete and balanced complement of weapons. Ryan is an annual threat to throw for 4.5K yards and close to 30 TDs. The Falcons still didn't make any real gains year over year defensively, so this offense will have plenty of opportunities to put up points. That's good for your fantasy team. Ryan is a "safe" consolation prize at QB if you miss out on the upper tier at the position. New HC Arthur Smith doesn't have Derrick Henry in Atlanta, so the strength of the offense will continue to be the passing game.Generational talent. There is no "comp" for Trevor Lawrence. He's the best QB prodigy since Peyton Manning, but far more athletic. He has arm strength, speed, awareness. The total package. He's stepping into a team with a fair amount to work with on day one, and he will be the starter in Week 1. Urban Meyer has had success everywhere, but the NFL is a different animal. How the whole thing comes together will be fascinating to watch. However, Trevor Lawrence is worth a top 3 dynasty pick in any format and has the upside to finish as a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 in redraft leagues. The term "can't miss" can be overused, but, it's appropriate when describing Trevor Lawrence.

Hail to Fantasy Football
Down a couple of spots with Julio gone.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
The Falcons are keeping Matt Ryan at least through this year and they have given him Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts as weapons. Pitts was a great addition, but losing Julio Jones makes Ryan more of a QB2 this year.Lawrence is a generational talent that should immediately be in the QB2 discussion as a rookie with QB1 upside.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Arthur Smith intriguing playcaller, though run-heavy past slight concern. Wonder how much of that was Vrabel directed, and now Kyle Pitts makes this team virtually indefe nsibleThink Tebow ends up being a bigger thorn at the GL than any of us are anticipating
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
While it's typically tough for a rookie quarterback to make it into top-12 territory, Lawrence is likely the exception to the rule. He comes in as an advanced passer who has tremendous touch on his passes that not many rookies do. The Jaguars defense is in clear rebuild mode, which should allow for plenty of pass attempts, making 4,000-plus passing yards likely. On top of that, Lawrence has great mobility and is likely to rush for 400-plus yards and a handful of touchdowns on the ground. That alone should get him into the top-15, with a good chance at top-12.
