Zachary Hanshew
FantasyPros
After four seasons with Gang Green as one of the team's top options, Anderson joins a Panthers team with a lot of mouths to feed. The deep-threat receiver has totaled 18 touchdowns over the last three seasons, while averaging 15 yards per reception. He can still be a fantasy-relevant contributor in 2020, though his week-to-week consistency will likely take a hit.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Although the acquisition of Odell Beckham resulted in fewer targets for Landry than he had in 2018, a case could be made that Beckham's presence helped create more openings for Landry over the middle of the field. After his yardage totals had decreased for three straight seasons, he tallied a career-high 1,174 receiving yards while topping 14 yards per catch for the first time in his career.Anderson is one of only three NFL players along with Mike Evans and Kenny Golladay to rank among the league's top 20 wideouts in yards per reception while catching 50 or more passes in each of the past two seasons. With new Carolina quarterback Teddy Bridgewater having been more of a dink-and-dunk specialist in recent years, expect Anderson's 2020 output to lack consistency.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Jarvis Landry had a remarkably effective 2019 given the mess that was the Browns offense. For so long a locked-in WR2, Landry comes with more risk this year with the implementation of the run-heavy Stefanski offence and his recovery from labrum surgery. Given the recovery timeline may extend into the season, it's reasonable to drop Landry a little down your rankings. Just remember that when fit, he's one of the safest receivers around. It's hard to see exactly how Robby Anderson will fit into the Panthers offense, but it's fair to say he'll provide more real-life benefit than fantasy benefit. With Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore sucking in 130+ targets each and Curtis Samuel and Ian Thomas sucking up 160+ between them, Anderson will need the Panthers to throw a lot to get a useful amount of targets. Luckily, the Panthers look like they'll be awful this year and that could mean massive passing volume. It'll be more efficient with Teddy Bridgewater at the controls too. It fair to assume Anderson can manage 900-odd yards with half a dozen TDs and that would be good enough for a cusp WR3. That's nothing special but he's the kind of guy that needs to be drafted in every league, even though you're never excited to draft him.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Did you know there have been just three wide receivers who've finished as a top-24 wide receiver in each of the last five years? Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Landry. The way he got there in 2019 wasn't ideal (posted WR2 or better numbers just 31.3 percent of the time), but it was a horrendous offense. The issue now is that he's coming off hip surgery this offseason. While it seems like his recovery has gone well, that could be something to hold him back from being as consistent as he's been the last few years in Cleveland. Another hurdle is the limited targets that may be available in Stefanski's offense. The Vikings receivers combined for just 201 targets last year, and it would appear the Browns are trying to recreate that offense with both Austin Hooper and David Njoku in 2TE sets, while using the run game heavily. There's been just two times in Landry's career where he's finished with more than 7.0 yards per target, and he's scored more than six touchdowns just once. If he's cut down anywhere close to the 100-110-target mark, which seems very likely, it's really going to hurt his fantasy impact. Because of that, he's a WR3, and one who might be a bit dicier than in past years.Switching teams as a wide receiver this offseason seems... less than ideal. It does help, however, when there's a new quarterback on that team, as well as a coach you've played for in the past. Matt Rhule was the coach while Anderson was at Temple back in 2015. The issue is that Bridgewater's strengths don't really align with Anderson's. Bridgewater threw the ball 20-plus yards just 7.1 percent of the time last year, which ranked second lowest in the league. Anderson's skill set just doesn't align with Bridgewater's strengths as a passer, though they may try to force the issue after spending $20 million over two years on Anderson. Not having an offseason to build rapport makes me a bit more concerned, especially knowing we've seen Anderson's effort level best described as "inconsistent" on the field. It's tough to say he'll be a better fantasy option than he was in New York, only now his asking price is much lower. Being taken outside the top 50 wide receivers is a discount worth taking in best-ball leagues, but in redraft, it's tough to say he'll be a consistent contributor. He's the third option, at best.
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Forgotten every year, and 2020 is no difference. Clean bill of health means another WR3 season is a lock.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Landry surprised many in 2019 by outperforming his fellow Browns WR, Odell Beckham Jr. What was most impressive is the fact that even in a crowded offense, Landry put up a career-high 1,174 receiving yards. While I do expect OBJ to bounce-back, I still think there are enough targets to go around to make Landry a solid flex option in PPR formats. After four long years on the Jets, Anderson gets a fresh start in Carolina where he'll catch passes from Teddy Bridgewater. While some may consider Bridgewater an upgrade over Sam Darnold, I don't think he's the best QB for a WR like Anderson. Anderson is known for being a deep threat and Bridgewater has never been known as a QB who goes deep. That could lead to some down weeks but he'll definitely have his big games as well. I'd stash him and use him in favorable, likely high scoring matchups.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Anderson has plenty of talent and has been the victim of erratic quarterback play throughout his career with the Jets. Reuniting with his college coach, Matt Rhule, is a positive development, but it's difficult to see him being start-worthy at any point this season. Between Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel, and Ian Thomas, there just aren't going to be enough targets to make Anderson viable, especially given that because he's mostly a deep threat, he's inherently a boom-or-bust play. Add in that Teddy Bridgewater isn't the type of quarterback who will play recklessly and things just don't look like they'll fall into place for Anderson in 2020.
Kyle Yates

Landry should assume the Stefon Diggs role in this Kevin Stefanski offense now in Cleveland. There's not going to be exorbitant amount of targets to go around, but OBJ and Landry will see plenty to be relevant for fantasy football. Every single year, Landry has outperformed his ADP and I expect him to do it yet again this season. He's a fine WR2 option for your roster every single week.Anderson's struggled the past few seasons in New York, but he's getting a change of scenery with his signing with the Carolina Panthers. Anderson has familiarity with head coach Matt Rhule, which will only help in a truncated offseason. The Panthers are most likely going to be throwing the ball a ton this season and Anderson's going to see plenty of targets heading his way. Anderson's one of my candidates to breakout this season and he's currently being drafted outside the top-50 WRs.

Just had his most efficient season. Career high in yards, and yards per reception. Hasn't been under 130 targets since his rookie season. King of the 1100 yard, 5 TD season. The coaching has changed but barring additional weapons I think he'll still be your trusty WR3(Hello Hooper). Wasn't effected by Hunt's presence. 8.875 targets with/8.3 without. Hooper could present a problem as the each gained most of their targets over the same area of the field last year. Not sure why the signing is confusing for some. Did you expect everyone to just run underneath and be completely predictable? Awaiting fantasy judgement until we see what Rhule is about.

Low volume pass-attack expected under Stefanski. Landry's efficiency should be solid, but the ceiling is definitely lower, despite his yearly consistency, just don't see any path to a big ceiling here. While the Panthers have a crowded WR corps, Anderson could thrive in a system that prioritizes "SPEED in space"

Robby Anderson had four avoided tackles and 3.5 YAC/reception on 52 catches in 2019.

Landry was the better fantasy player over OBJ, finishing with 1,184 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns. That is a big reason there was a coaching change in Cleveland and I would expect OBJ to be the more targeted player in 2020 with Landry being more of a WR3.
