Agholor was a Top-30 fantasy receiver last year and with Jeffery still recovering from a shoulder, Agholor has a chance to have a fast start to the season.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
Agholor resurrected his career with a move into the slot and is due for a boost with the injury status of Alshon Jeffery.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
One of the trickiest players to rank, Anderson could still receive a suspension because of a January arrest. Also an on-field enigma, he ended the season by recording 120 receiving yards in four games after compiling 490 yards and five TDs in the previous five contests. Anyone drafting Anderson should be disappointed to see Josh McCown lose the starting job to Sam Darnold, as the veteran's season-ending hand injury occurred right as the wideout started to fade in Week 14. He's an ultimate boom-or-bust pick. Only five players snagged more red-zone receptions than Agholor, who turned four of those 13 catches into scores. Although an inconsistent yards producer with tallies of 11, nine, and minus-2 on his game log, eight TDs vaulted him to a WR22 finish. He also made significant strides all across the field by surging his catch % from 55.2 to 65.3. While Philadelphia's entire passing game comes with TD regression risk, his WR42 ADP assumes a drop in end-zone expeditions. He'll also open the season as the No. 1 wideout with Alshon Jeffery on the shelf.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Anderson may end up missing some time but he will be worth drafting anyways considering the state of the Jets' receiver core and the way Anderson performed over the second half of last season. From the moment he returns, Anderson is startable each and every week. While Agholor did manage eight touchdowns last season, a good chunk of his production came with Nick Foles under center. It isn't that he will suddenly be useless with Wentz back, but he does take enough of a backseat that when coupled with his injury, we can't rely on him as a consistent scorer each week.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
This is a ranking that can move, as Anderson could potentially be suspended by the commissioner. He's had off -the-field issues multiple times, but the most recent arrest has some really bad details, particularly when he said things to a police officer about what he'd do to his wife. He may escape legal trouble, but the NFL is sure to investigate. It could be an Ezekiel Elliott situation where we don't even know when the season begins, so you have to build that risk into his draft price. He belongs in the WR4 range because of it. If Sam Darnold starts, it could actually hurt his stock because of the rapport Anderson's built with Josh McCown. For someone who ranked 50th in targets per game among wide receivers last year, Agholor is getting a lot of love in early drafts. Knowing that, tied in with the fact that Carson Wentz will regress in the touchdown department, and you have yourself a recipe for disaster when taking him as a top-35 wide receiver (as he's currently being drafted). If Alshon Jeffery should wind up on the PUP list to start the season, Agholor will move up the ranks.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
"After a productive rookie season, Robby Anderson stepped up big for the Jets in 2017 following the loss of Enunwa. The Temple product racked up 942 receiving yards and 7 TDs, establishing himself as a bona fide deep threat. Since entering the league, Anderson is sixth in the NFL in receptions of 20+ yards with 27." newyorkjets.comIn 2017, Nelson Agholor had 62 recs, 768 yds, 9 TDs and 7 games of WR2 or better. there is no reason he wouldn't maintain this output, even with additions in the offense. Agholor had to carve out a role for himself and beat out incumbent Jordan Matthews. This year he'll be the main slot receiver and have an established role from the start. Agholor hasn't suited up for practice since Monday and didn't appear in Thursday's preseason opener against Pittsburgh. The Eagles have yet to address his status, though as of now, there's no concern about his status for the regular season. (8/13)
Staff Rankings
QB List
I've gotta be honest folks, it took me nearly 12 games last season to finally buy into our guy Robby as a consistent producer in the Jets' offense. With blazing speed and good route running, Anderson was sent on bomb and deep slant routes serving in a Tyreek Hill-esque deep threat role, while sometimes serving as the go-to receiver on 3rd down for the Jets' Josh McCown led offense. Although the Jets do return Quincy Enunwa to the mix, and added Terrell Pryor in the offseason, Anderson still profiles out to receive the lion's share of deep chucks from McCown, while possibly seeing a slight dip in targets, situating him firmly at the tail end of Tier 3 at #25.The breakout slot receiver for the Eagles showcased the freakish athleticism that had him drafted in the first round in 2015 throughout last season, posting almost 800 yards on a modest 95 receptions. With much-improved hands, Angholor blossomed within the Eagles' juggernaut offense and has little to no competition this season challenging him for his role. Expect similar, if not slightly better, numbers this season from the 4th year receiver as Wentz returns with a vengeance, though look for his bloated 9 TD's to fall to a more reasonable 5-7.
Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
He was the Jets most talented receiver last year but that is not saying much; whomever Darnold clicks with will hold this spotAglohor has a chance to shine this season and should push for 80+ receptions and over 1,000 yards receiving
