| Pat Fitzmaurice FantasyPros | Brimming with swag and surrounded by ample pass-catching weaponry, Joe Burrow has firmly established himself as a premium fantasy quarterback. Burrow finished QB4 in fantasy scoring last season after throwing a career-high 35 TD passes. Over the last two years, Burrow has completed 69.3% of his throws, averaging 8.1 yards per attempt. He added some value with his legs in 2022, running for five touchdowns. Burrow gets to throw to the fabulous WR duo of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and the Bengals have made significant investments in their offensive line. A training-camp calf injury will keep Burrow sidelined throughout fantasy draft season, but he's expected back in time for Week 1. | Plagued by subpar QB play for years, the Broncos viewed Russell Wilson as a potential savior and gave up a bevy of draft capital to acquire him. Wilson's first year in Denver was bitterly disappointing, as he turned in the worst season of his 11-year career, with career lows in completion percentage (60.5%), passer rating (84.4) and touchdown passes (16), and a career high in sacks (55). Once a dangerous runner, Wilson doesn't run as much these days, and he doesn't escape pressure as easily. It's possible that this accomplished passer has a bounce-back season in 2023 under the tutelage of Sean Payton, but we can't assume that the 34-year-old Wilson will return to something close to vintage form. Approach with caution. |

He is dealing with a calf strain, but he should be ready for the regular season and he plays on one of the best offenses in the NFL. He is elite fantasy QB1. | For what it is worth, Wilson had 49 fantasy points in the 2 games after Nathaniel Hackett was fired and Sean Payton should do much better utilizing Wilson's skill set in the offense. Wilson turns 35-years old this year, but he could be a bargain with a major head coaching upgrade. |
