Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Why is Wilson continually hated by the fantasy community? His late-season struggles last year have many avoiding him in 2021, though you shouldn't be one of those people. Over the course of his career (now 144 games), he's posted top-12 type numbers in 50.7 percent of his games, which ranks sixth among quarterbacks who've started 50-plus games since 2000. That's a better career mark than Drew Brees, who was continually drafted as a top-three quarterback during his prime. Wilson has never finished worse than QB11 and has finished as a top-three quarterback in four of the last seven seasons. He's as stable as they come. What Herbert did in 2020 was miraculous. There's no two ways about it. To be handed the starting job just one hour before the game in Week 2, then go on to break the rookie record for passing touchdowns (31) is ridiculous. Now, with that being said, he still finished as the QB9 last year while throwing 595 pass attempts, the fourth most in the legaue. Now that he's got a defensive-minded head coach and a healthy defense, we could see the pass attempts dip a bit in 2021, which would certainly hurt his appeal. The Chargers did increase the talent on the offensive line, but also replaced Hunter Henry with Jared Cook, which is a certainly a downgrade. Herbert should still be a solid low-end QB1, but it's tough to see him finishing as a top-five option in 2021.

Sleepers and Busts
Let Russ Cook! I was completely wrong about him last year and I got burned. I thought the Seahawks were going run heavy and they let him air it out. That was the knock on him. His offensive scheme was too run heavy. It was never his talent. Seattle brought in a new offensive coordinator, Shane Waldron, from the Rams, so any worries about Brian Schottenheimer going back to the run are gone. The main concern- can the offensive line protect him? Wilson complained openly about getting hit too much. If they can, Russ will serve up plenty of fantasy points for hungry owners.Herbert did an amazing job last year as a rookie learning the Chargers offense in a pandemic. He'll have to learn another one this year. Anthony Lynn is gone. Brandon Staley is the new head coach and his offensive coordinator, Joe Lombardi, comes over from the Saints. Expect a lot of short quick passes and a power running game. Herbert has the goods and the line is improved. Despite the challenge of learning a new offense, Herbert should still do well in 2021.
Joe Pisapia
FantasyPros
For the first nine weeks of the season Russell Wilson, averaged 29.5 pts per game. After that, Wilson averaged just 17.5 pts the rest of the way, killing his MVP candidacy and many fantasy playoff hopes as well. Wilson is a steady presence, despite the down ending in 2020. He should be a lock for 4+K yards and around 35 TDs. The notion the Seahawks were shopping him seriously this offseason is laughable. The franchise QB isn't going anywhere. Last season, Wilson's rushing yards went back above the 500 mark, and his 42 combined passing and rushing TDs were a career-high. At 32, Wilson is in his prime and is an excellent redraft or dynasty investment. D.K. Metcalf's emerging star, coupled with the familiarity of Tyler Lockett, a returning Chris Carson, and an exciting slot WR option drafted in D'Wayne Eskridge, should keep Wilson high on the fantasy QB scale again at season's end. He could be the best return on investment in the position.Justin Herbert set a rookie record for passing TDs (31), threw just ten picks, and crossed 4.3K yards on his way to Rookie of the Year honors. A new coaching staff, including a new OC, should be careful not to screw up a good thing. The new OC is Joe Lombardi, former QB coach of the Saints. Learning under Sean Payton and Drew Brees, expectations are high for Herbert and company. The expectations are a more "up-tempo" offense built around Herbert's strengths. Drafting Rashawn Slater goes a long way to helping improve an offensive line that struggled. With (8) 300-yard games, Herbert had some big days in 2020, but he also had some rookie moments. Suppose you draft Herbert, bid on a similar season to 2020, not necessarily upside for more. He's not as safe as some veterans like Russell Wilson, nor do I think he has the upside in startup dynasty leagues like Trevor Lawrence or Joe Burrow. But the 23-year-old QB was impressive enough year one to consider him a QB1 in 2021.
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The #LetRussCook movement seemed to have worked because the Seahawks finally let go of the run-centric Brian Schottenheimer at OC and brought in Rams pass-game coordinator for the last 4 seasons, Shane Waldron, to take his place. We have seen Jared Goff thrive under his watch but we've also seen run-centric offenses in LA. If Russell Wilson is finally unleashed, he could finally have the top-3 fantasy season everyone has been waiting for. After bursting on the scene his rookie season, Herbert is going to get his second playbook in as many seasons, but if we are judging future schemes based on coaching trees, that may end up being a good thing. Joe Lombardi was been the Saints QB coach for the last 5 seasons, working with Drew Brees and Sean Payton, and is the grandson of the guy they named the Super Bowl trophy after. Now, with an offense designed just for him, the talent that was clear last season might shine even brighter. He is still surrounded by incredible talent and an improved OLine as well.

Line improvements are HUGE. I like the Saints QB Coach as OC too - should be slinging.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Wilson really regressed in the second half of the season. In games 1-8, he had 236.1 fantasy points or 29.5 points per game. In games 9-17, he had 136.5 fantasy points or 17.1 fantasy points per game. Wilson is still 32-years old and in his career prime, but he can't be considered an elite QB1. He is more of a low-end QB1.Herbert had 342.8 fantasy points in his rookie year on a team that started (3-9) before winning their last four games. The sky is the limit for him and he should be an elite QB1 in his second season with a team that should be on the upswing.
