Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
The addition of Kirk Cousins has everyone excited, though the one who should be most excited is Diggs, who might see more targets float his way. After playing with Case Keenum, who was more of a game manager, Diggs should be more of a field stretcher for Cousins, as he can create separation at every level of the field. Meanwhile, Adam Thielen had a boost in production under Pat Shurmur, who is now gone. As of now, Thielen is going earlier than Diggs in drafts, but it really should be the other way around. Take the discount on Diggs and pass on Thielen, you'll be happy you did. After posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons to open his career, Cooper hit some speed bumps in 2017, as he finished with just 680 yards in 14 games. It was even worse than that, though, as he accumulated 30.9 percent of his yardage in just one game. We do know that his ankle caused him to miss nearly two full games, but it's rare to see a wide receiver struggle the way he did when coming off two impressive seasons. It may not have helped that Derek Carr was dealing with a back injury as well, so we'll chalk that season up to an outlier in what's been a great start to a career. The Raiders cut Michael Crabtree, which helps, but then brought in both Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant to replenish the weaponry (Bryant was later cut). Still, Cooper is the only one who has rapport with his quarterback, so I'd expect him to bounce back to WR2 status in 2018. Another fun fact: Gruden has produced at least one 1,000-yard receiver in each of his 11 years as a coach.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
The WR1 through Week 4, Diggs stumbled upon returning from a groin injury suffered the following game. He then found pay dirt in each of the final three contests before catching 14 of 22 targets for 207 yards and an unforgettable TD in a pair of postseason bouts. Last year's leader in WR rating (145.2) and contested-catch rate (64 %), Diggs possesses an uncapped ceiling for those willing to take an early risk.A WR31 outcome undersells how bad Cooper was last season. He secured only half of his 96 targets, dropped 10 passes, and totaled single-digit yards in five separate games. Week 7's 210-yard, two-TD outburst came after accruing 51 yards in four combined contests, meaning many managers probably benched him. Despite all of these caution signs, Cooper is still a 24-year-old with two 1,000-yard seasons under his belt. Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant likely won't absorb all 101 targets abandoned by Michael Crabtree, as Jon Gruden has made no secret about his intention to run Oakland's aerial attack through Cooper. A bounce-back is likely, but everyone appears to be assuming as much.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
I've moved Diggs ahead of Adam Thielen as Minnesota's WR1. Much better shot at exceeding 8-plus TDs. Jon Gruden's WR1's have an excellent track record and Cooper has little real competition for that role. Prime bounce-back candidate.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Diggs has had struggles staying on the field, but when he is healthy, we are talking about a top 12 wide receiver. Everyone is all over Thielen, and for good reason, but it was Diggs who was the stronger fantasy player in points per game last season. Don't hesitate to add him ahead of more reliable names like Fitzgerald and Demaryius on draft day.Despite playing injured and missing a few games, Cooper was still a WR3 last season. Had he seen his normal amount of targets, no one would think twice about drafting Cooper as a WR2, but that merely means the rest of us get an incredible value.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Has all the tools to be special, with the exception of durability. Working with his best QB yet (Cousins), sustained health could easily carry Diggs into WR1 territoryI don't expect anyone who owned him in '17 to buy in on him again, but Cooper's immensely talented and his target share should be major - the stars aligned against him last season, but he was a solid WR2 in his first two NFL seasons, a fact that should not be dismissed
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Antonio Brown 1st 3 yrs: 249 tar, 151 rec, 2062yds, 7TDs Stefon Diggs: 291 tar, 200 rec, 2472yds, 15TDs Few WRs profile to take an AB path, Diggs is one of those WRs @ClutchFantasy There are very few WRs in the league who have the intricacies of the game down like Stefon Diggs. He's one of the most savvy route runners in the game. Short range quickness, football IQ (so underrated), footwork, angles, ball skills. @DanielHouseNFL He is a solid WR1 unless he is on the injury report, if he is questionable at any point during the week you can leave him on your bench. He seems to be on the injury report 4-5 weeks every season. Stefon Diggs ranked No. 1 vs man coverage in @MattHarmon_BYB's Reception Perception & No. 1 in @pff's Contested-Catch Efficiency. Diggs now entering his contract year at age 24. @EvanSilva Over the last two years, Stefon Diggs has spent 21 games off #Vikings injury report & 6 games on the report/limited by injury. When Diggs is off the injury report, he's averaged 17.0 PPR FPG (WR5 in this span). That trails only AB (21.3), OBJ (18.5), Allen (17.1), Julio (17.1). @GrahamBarfield John Gruden has never failed to produce a WR without 1000 receiving yards. Cooper had a disappointing 2017, gaining only 680 yards, after starting his career with two 1000+ yards seasons. I expect Cooper to have a bounce-back year and easily out preform his current 3rd/4th round MFL10 ADP.
Staff Rankings
QB List
The 24-year-old Diggs comes into 2018 as one of the better pure athletes in the NFL, even if he doesn't have a nickname involving the word "lightning". Diggs has always shown game-breaking speed, good route running, and great hands, using these attributes to have arguably his best pro season last year posting almost 850 yard and eight touchdowns for the Vikings. As Kirk Cousins enters 2018 as the new Vikings franchise QB, how the targets will shake out for the Minnesota offense remains to be seen. If Diggs were to somehow gain a true WR1 target share, he could potentially be a top five wide receiver; however, as long as he and Thielen continue to both get fed, the most likely scenario in this case, those big dog games of his will be few and far between, leaving him to compete instead for a spot within the top 15. Man is it weird to call them the LV Raiders Looks at angry produceroh yea, rankings. Got it. The NFL's most productive drop machine last season, Cooper and his 50 % catch rate (!!!) posted disappointing numbers across the board. He was fortunate to have even ended up with 7 TD's, and with only about 700 yards to his name, Cooper ended the year firmly outside of the top 25 in total points, even finishing behind Jermaine Kearse. Yikes. So why is he at 21 coming into 2018??!! Well a few things: no more Michael Crabtree 3/4ths of a year to get over that stone hands issue, a relatively firm lead receiver role, and a year in which Derek Carr is expected to rebound in a big way. Yes, plenty of these are baseless assumptions, but players with Cooper and Carr's skill sets are likely due for a great deal of positive regression. Don't expect Cooper to light the world on fire, but top 15 upside is there with such a stable role in a high potential passing offense.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Diggs feels pretty undervalued when compared to Thielen. He might be one of the best route-runners in the NFL and could rise up a bit this yearGruden says Amari's role will be huge and the talent is there so I don't mind rolling the dice on him as a stud WR1 this year

Diggs was a very good touchdown threat at the end of the season and he has WR1 value playing with QB Kirk Cousins.Cooper was a dud in 2017 with 48 receptions for 680 yards and 7 touchdowns with almost all of that production coming on TNF against the Chiefs. New head coach Jon Gruden should improve his 2018 outlook, but he is a WR3 until he stops dropping the ball and disappearing for games at a time.
