Washington Commanders QB Jacoby Brissett logged his first full participation in practice since suffering his hamstring injury heading into Week 17. (Source: commanders.com)

Fantasy Impact: Second-year QB Sam Howell has already been ruled the team's starter for Week 18, but Brissett has a chance to be active after being ruled out for Week 17 with a hamstring injury — despite initially being named the week's starter. Brissett will not start a single game for the Commanders and, given he's on a one-year deal, could look for a new opportunity elsewhere in 2024 after showing productivity in small stretches in Washington.

Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel cropped up as a non-participant in Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury. (Source: commanders.com)

Fantasy Impact: Samuel getting the mid-week downgrade is not a good sign, especially given rumors that the Commanders could sit some of their veteran options in Week 18. His Friday status should be monitored, but given the recent history of players with hamstring injuries, it seems unlikely as of Thursday that Samuel will play in Week 18 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. was placed on IR on Thursday due to an ankle injury. (Source: Ben Standig on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Rodriguez had an MRI on his ankle earlier this week, and now the decision has been made to end his rookie campaign early. The sixth-round pick out of Kentucky saw action in 13 games during his first NFL season, rushing for 247 yards (4.8 Y/A) and two touchdowns on 51 carries.

Brian Robinson Jr. did some early work at practice on Wednesday. (Source: John Keim on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: We will wait for the official injury report to know if it will be a limited or full practice, but it is a positive sign to see Robinson at practice in any fashion. He has been sidelined for the past two games.

Commanders CB Emmanuel Forbes is officially inactive for a Week 13 matchup with the Dolphins.

Fantasy Impact: Forbes will miss his second consecutive game due to an elbow injury. The rookie corner back will likely be replaced by Danny Johnson in a tough matchup with the Dolphins’ wide receivers.

Antonio Gibson (toe) is officially active for the Washington Commanders ahead of their Thanksgiving day Week 12 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. (Source: Washington Commanders on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Gibson was able to clear through pre-game testing after originally being a game-time decision for the Commanders. The dress tile running back will see plenty of passing down work and is a sneaky PPR flex option in a game the Commanders could be playing from behind against a strong Dallas Cowboys offense.

Efe Obada (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday. The Commanders now have 21 days to either activate him or shut him down for the season. (Source: Nicki Jhabvala on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Obada missed the first five games of 2023 but was solid last season, amassing four sacks and 24 tackles through 17 games. As of now, there's at least a chance that he plays in Week 6.

Jahan Dotson (ankle) will be good to go for Thursday's game against the Bears. (Source: Ben Standig on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Dotson has been a huge disappointment in terms of fantasy expectations so far this season. An ankle injury certainly won't help matters, but the issue is apparently not significant enough to keep him out of Thursday's matchup. Dotson saw a season-high nine targets in Week 4. However, he only came up with four of them for 27 yards and a touchdown.

Commanders S Percy Butler (foot) is listed as questionable for a Week 4 matchup with the Vikings. (Source: John Keim on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Butler has played well so far this season, tallying six tackles and passes defensed in three games this season. Fantasy managers should expect Darrick Forrest to see the bulk of the playing time at free safety.

Commanders TE Logan Thomas (concussion) will suit up in Week 4. (Source: John Keim on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Thomas missed the Commanders’ game in Week 3 due to a concussion he suffered in Denver. The veteran tight end appears to have passed the NFL’s concussion protocol and will return against the Eagles Sunday. Fantasy managers should expect Thomas to draw targets, specifically in the red zone, in his return to the lineup.

Chase Young to play Week 2

By Leo Sells

Chase Young has been cleared and will play in Week 2. (Source: Washington Commanders on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Young missed Washington's first game because of a stinger in his neck, but he's now fully cleared and will be available to play against the Broncos. His presence should offer a boost to this defense, but it remains to be seen if he will still be a high-impact player after all of the injuries he's gone through over the past couple of seasons.

Jamison Crowder was elevated to the active roster Saturday, making him eligible to play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. (Source: Pro Football Talk)

Fantasy Impact: This is Crowder's second stint with Washington, the team that drafted him in 2015. The veteran receiver should be able to contribute if called upon. He’s currently listed as 3rd on the depth chart but may sneak into some slot work. It remains to be seen how there will be to eat for a WR3 on the Commanders. Take a wait-and-see approach with Crowder and only in the deepest of leagues.

The Washington Commanders have placed WR Dax Milne on injured reserve, and he will miss the first four games of the season. (Source: Adam Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: After being a seventh-round pick out of BYU in 2021, Milne has appeared in 28 games for the Commanders, starting two. Last season he was the Commanders' primary return specialist and led the league in total punt returns.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Pro Bowl WR Terry McLaurin is off the Washington Commanders' injury report and is set to play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: McLaurin missed much of the preseason due to an injury to his toe, and his Week 1 status was hung in the air. After logging a full practice on Thursday, McLaurin is on the right track and will play Sunday. It's unclear if the injury will hamper him any in Week 1, but the Commanders have a favorable matchup against a weak Cardinals defense. He has an ECR of half-PPR WR37, making him an upside FLEX play.

The Commanders placed RB Jonathan Williams on injured reserve. (Source: NBCsports.com)

Fantasy Impact: Williams will be placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. The Commanders will turn the No. 3 running back role over to rookie sixth-rounder Chris Rodriguez Jr.

The Washington Commanders placed DT David Bada on injured reserve with torn triceps. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Bada, who was born in Germany, is expected to undergo further testing but he figures to miss an extended period of time for the Commanders.

Commanders tight end Armani Rogers suffered a torn Achilles in practice on Tuesday. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Rodgers is expected to undergo surgery next week. He is expected to make a full recovery, but he'll be sidelined indefinitely. Rodgers converted to tight end last season and was going to be battling for a role behind Logan Thomas among the Commanders tight end room.

Carson Wentz was sidelined at practice on Thursday. (Source: JP Finlay on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: There is reportedly a non-Covid illness going around the Commanders locker room and now Wentz is missing practice because he's sick. It doesn't mean too much for fantasy managers as Taylor Heinicke isn't going away as the starter.

J.D. McKissic (neck) is being placed on IR by the Commanders. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: McKissic's season is unfortunately over. The Commanders placed him on IR due to a neck injury that has already kept him out of action since Week 8. The veteran pass-catching specialist finishes his season with 95 yards rushing on 22 carries alongside 173 yards on 27 receptions.

Washington Commanders linebacker Cole Holcomb has been ruled out for Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles. (Source: Washington Commanders PR on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Holcomb has been dealing with a foot injury that has caused him to miss multiple games. He was unable to practice at all this week, so there is currently no timetable for his return. Jamin Davis should soak the bulk of the snaps at middle linebacker, with Jon Bostic joining him in nickel looks. Jamin is a LB3 with LB2 upside for tonight's matchup against the Eagles.
