Since Darkwa is not being tendered, he will test the open free agent market when the signing period begins on March 9. The 25-year-old running back is coming off of a sub-par 2016 season in which he rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. Although it is not out of the question that the Giants could bring Darkwa back on a lesser deal, he could linger on the open market as this year's free agent running back class is deep.
