Fantasy Impact
The Eagles' offense has plenty of promising fantasy players, but the production out of their running back position has been subpar for a while now. Mathews was injury-plagued but productive when on the field for the Chargers, and that has been the case for the Eagles. You can't rely on him to stay healthy, but when he is, he accounts for too many snaps for other backs to see much playing time. If or when he is officially cut, that opens up the Eagles' backfield, as Darren Sproles, Donnel Pumphrey, and Wendell Smallwood will all compete for playing time.
