Matthew Berry: "Cordarrelle Patterson is a top-5 fantasy wide receiver"

Cordarrelle Patterson (RB - PIT)

ESPN analyst Matthew Berry predicted that Cordarrelle Patterson will emerge as a top-5 wide receiver in fantasy football this season. Berry thinks that the second-year sensation is an ideal fit in Norv Turner's offense and that his elite level skill set will help him breakout in a big way in 2014. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact
With career totals of 45 catches for 469 yards and a current ADP of No. 18 among wide receivers, it's easy to be skeptical of Berry's bullish outlook for Patterson. But going into last season no one expected Josh Gordon to become an elite fantasy WR either. And the comparisons between Gordon and Patterson are significant. Both were entering their second season, both have been blessed with an elite physical skill set and both will be used as the featured weapon in Norv Turner's passing attack. If Patterson can continue to develop as a route runner and maximize his immense talents he has a legitimate chance at living up to Berry's bold prediction.
