Cruz, who spent the bulk of the offseason in search of a new suitor after being released by the Giants, agreed in principle to a deal with the Bears Thursday. The oft-injured wideout has a realistic opportunity to find himself in a prominent role in Chicago for the upcoming season as the Bears need help at receiver. Expect Cruz to open the 2017 campaign as one of Chicago's top three receivers if his health remains intact.
