According to multiple sources, reports indicate that suspended LB Robert Mathis has torn his Achilles tendon working out in Atlanta. No additional details on how the injury was sustained or the Colts plans for Mathis are currently available. (ProFootballTalk via Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is horrible news for a Colts defense that struggled to apply pressure to Peyton Manning in the season opener. With Mathis out the entire season, the Colts will rely on improved second year player Bjorn Werner to generate an outside pass rush.
