Jamaal Charles to sit out of team drills at minicamp

Jamaal Charles (RB - FA)

Denver Broncos beat writer Jeff Legwold is reporting Jamaal Charles (knee) will not participate in team drills at this week's mandatory minicamp. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact
Charles, who is still removing from a pair of knee surgeries from last season, will be held out of team drills at minicamp this week. However, the injury-plagued rusher is fully expected to participate in individual work off to the side. Currently, Charles' availability for the start of training camp remains up in the air. If Charles can make a full recovery and if his health remains intact, he could cut into presumed starter C.J. Anderson's workload in 2017. But if he suffers a setback, it wouldn't be surprising if the Broncos elect to move on from him before the start of the season.
